Hello Lovely Salon and Boutique — Attraction in Jacksonville

Overall my hair cut was nice but be very weary of getting your hair colored here. I asked for a balayage after looking at many reference photos and I got the exact opposite. Don’t think about going somewhere else to fix it if you want your money back. What they don’t tell you is they have a 0 refund policy and if you don’t like the service you can’t get your money back. They will talk down to you, make the situation your fault even though they conveniently never mention this policy until you are trying to get back your hard earned money. I do not recommend this place at all. I’ve never left a review on a store before but I’ve never been gaslight by some hairstylists either.

update once again this is what I'm talking about! no matter how many times I've reiterated that no complimentary service was offered until I called asking for a refund, the only recommendation was to come in 4-6weeks later for corrections the day of my appointment, and that i only wanted a refund for the service that I payed for on that day that i didn't receive NOT what an outside salon did, management seems to put the responsibility of knowing policy and rules on their customers without the dignity of explaining it first before your appointment along with manipulating the narrative and gaslighting their customers to shift blame and avoid their mistake. This was my first experience at this salon and I can confidently say it will be my last. Its a very linear process, if you pay for a service, and don't receive it, you get your money back. Positives: the salon is beautiful and the stylists were extremely welcoming and kind! I was able to make an appointment easily. My stylist listened intently to what I wanted in my haircut and color. I think my stylist did a lovely job on my highlights! They are very soft and blended well and are the tone and lightness that I was looking for.

Negatives: While I was impressed with the hair color I received, I am disappointed in the hair cut. I’d asked for long layers, and I don’t feel the stylist executed it well. The cut feels heavy at the bottom with a few uneven spots, choppy in places, and hits awkardly in the front where it’s cut straight across. I feel I lost a bit more length than I needed to when the stylist kept trying to even it out. The hair color was beautiful, but for what I paid, I’ve had much more professional hair cuts. I will likely be visiting a different stylist to revise the haircut.

Additionally, to achieve the lovely soft highlights they use the teasy highlight method, which results in a lot of tangles and lots of rough brushing needed to comb them out, so if you are tenderheaded that could be an issue.

I found this salon after my hair stylist moved out of town. I was in sheer panic mode when this happened. I had just recently started playing with fashion colors and off the wall cuts. So when my hairstylist left me for dead I was generally concerned that I would not be able to find anyone who could handle my needs. I had tried two hair salons before finding Hello Lovely and even more so finding Ashleigh! Ashleigh spent at least 30 minutes going over what I was hoping to achieve. This was the first consult I had ever had with someone who actually took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to venture into the vibrant color club. I never truly understood what it meant to have a GREAT colorist do your hair. She was able to give me the colors I wanted and able to perfect the tone to it. I was also amazed at the integrity of my hair after bleaching! It did not feel like straw which I had come to know after coloring my hair, but to my delight my hair has never felt softer!!
