If you love Brisket you NEED to give this spot a try. My husband swears it's the best he's ever had and we've made this a routine stop every other week to grab the local BBQ. The BBQ beans are amazing, and perhaps a favorite of mine as well. The BBQ pulled pork is good too (though the brisket and beans are better according from other friends who've tried it). I recommend the coleslaw if you're a fan, very, very good. Also, if they have any sweet tea available, you can't go wrong. This place is a favorite to stop by. Occasionally we'll find ourselves interested in going to our local bookstore which is a little north of here and I'll always stop by here after. It's also a great place to grab some produce. This place has the best oranges so far that we've tried. They have rotating vegetables and fruits depending on the season. Currently, there is watermelon with seeds and a lot of other shoppers seem quite excited to have it available. There's also local honey available too. The workers are always so friendly, though it feels a little intimidating going in the back and asking for some brisket. The more I do it, the less weird I feel. I like it and I hope they stick around for a while.

Lake Shore Market is the best place in the Jacksonville area for finding fresh fruit and vegetables. When my husband and I moved to northeast Florida, one of our priorities was to find a reliable source for organic food. When we asked folks for recommendations, the answer was Lake Shore. They were right! Yes, it has fabulous veggies and fruit, and it also has terrific prepared food. The barbecue and roasted meats are yummy, and the chicken salad is divine. They have been around since the Last Supper, and now I see why! Cheers, Mama

Very cute produce store that also sells BBQ! The fruit and Vegetables were fresh and the BBQ was great! They also have sides to go along with it. Brunswick Stew, Collard greens to name a few .They have just enough for what you need, A little of everything. We will definitely be back! I only got pictures of the BBQ but did buy some fruit and we loved it!

Update March 2025 - we've now had smoked pork butt, smoked chicken, smoked ribs, and smoked rib tips. purchased bread (baked locally), I buy their cole slaw every week, their veggies are super fresh, and prices are fantastic! I absolutely love having this market in the neighborhood!!! And yes, they take cards and cash.

Just moved to the area and so glad to see this place is open. I had an instant nostalgia hit the moment I walked in today. The store is just like stores I'd go to with my grandparents in the 80's before supermarkets were available everywhere. Great produce selection at prices that are comparable to big box stores. The bbq smelled amazing. There's a wall of pickled vegs, jams & jellies, dressing, and a few locally made dry goods. Just grabbed a few veggies, a container of chicken salad, and locally made bread for my dinner. I saw others post it is cash only, the store now takes cards, there's a slight upcharge for that which...

I went into this shop for BBQ (always on the hunt for good BBQ). I heard a few people talking bout this place. I got inside, I could smell the BBQ but I didn't see it right away. I was looking for a space/counter to place a order. Nope. The BBQ is on a display table/rack toward the back. So everything is prepackaged 🤔. I'm not accustomed to buying BBQ prepackaged, so I'm second guessing this BBQ. The charge is by the pound. Everything has a charge separately - meat/bread/sauce. A little pricey. So since this was a different way of purchasing we decided to try - but only bought what we considered to be just enough for sampling purpose. A small rib pack and a small chicken (2 pieces). Results - ok, nothing to rave about - like I had heard others talking. (Now I'm looking at those people side-eyed on what they tasted) Will I go there again - probably not. Not fond of the prepackaged meat sitting under...
