My family and I checked out this lovely antique store which is located in Historic Five Points District in the Riverside Neighborhood of Jacksonville FL and I have to say that it was a very lovely place with lots of different kinds of items such as vintage toys, cloths, nick nacks, books, and everything else under the rainbow 🌈. I also love the story on how the store got it's name, when it originally opened it was a store that sold only fans and stoves like a Home Depot type store but when the big time stores started poping up they couldn't compete so when it finally became an antique store the new owners just kept the original name which was Fans and Stoves. Read moreThis place is cute and an interesting detour from your afternoon shopping, but is chock full of kitsch and low quality "antiques" that more closely resembles an average estate sale or antique display case in a thrift store. Just because something is old does not make it a valuable antique. There are plenty of chinese knockoffs in here as well so be cautious. It does make for a fun eclectic window shopping moment, but overall serious antique officiandos should probably pass. I am not sure why Florida seems to be short on LEGIT antique stores, but this is a fun if brief foray down...
