Cornbread Bae is a soul food game-changer! Everything here is served on their signature cornbread-based hamburger buns, and it works like magic. The bun is soft, slightly sweet, and holds up perfectly to the hearty, flavorful fillings.
I tried the smoked oxtail sandwich with a side of collard greens and baked mac and cheese, and it was an experience. The oxtail was tender, smoky, and seasoned to perfection, and that cornbread bun just tied it all together. The mac and cheese? Insane. Creamy, cheesy, and baked with this golden crust thatās absolutely irresistible. The collard greens had just the right amount of seasoningāeverything tasted like it was made with love.
The menu is loaded with other options too, like black angus brisket, smoked chicken, and yams. Every plate feels like a custom-built meal made for comfort food lovers.
On top of the food, the vibe is chill and welcoming. The staff is super friendly, and the service is fast. Whether youāre a soul food regular or just curious, Cornbread Bae is worth every penny. Iām already planning my next visit.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend recommended this restaurant based on its glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience did not align with the high praise.
We ordered "The Entanglement," which was advertised as including three meats. We requested two servings of oxtails, and the staff confirmed this was possible. Additionally, we asked for cornbread. Since we were in a rush, we didnāt check the food until we got homeāa mistake on our part.
When we unpacked our order, we discovered several issues: we didnāt receive the second serving of oxtails or the cornbread we paid for. The oxtails we did receive tasted off and were noticeably burnt. The mac and cheese and brisket were both extremely dry, the yams had the texture and flavor of baby food, and the greens were the only somewhat redeemable itemāthough they were far from impressive.
Overall, this experience was a disappointment both in terms of flavor and value. If zero stars were an option, that would have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped by after seeing this place on the map. Anything with "Cornbread" in the name is intriguing to me. The service was super friendly and the food was out of this world! I had the brisket with mac & cheese on the cornbread bun and WOW. I was skeptical a cornbread bun could hold all that food, but it did and it was somehow moist and sturdy at the same time. I got my cousin the brisket and turkey combo and he loved it. The collards were just like home cooking. The cornbread with the honey drizzle was like a desert. I ordered the yams, but he forgot to put them in the bag. My taste buds were sorely disappointed but maybe he'll hook me up next time...
