Upon first walking in, it’s a nice place. An arcade to the left and bar/restaurant and bowing to the right. We went on BOGO night, you buy one game you get one free. Got our shoes, got our balls, set up and started playing! No issues our first game. Then comes our second game. 2 frames in, our monitor told my husband he had made an uncoordinated (I think) throw and to try again. We got staff and they fixed it. No big deal. Things happen. So we continue to bowl. Two or three frames later, same message pops up. We tell someone, they say okay we will get it fixed. We are waiting, and waiting.... and waiting. No one came to fix it. And then all of a sudden, another couple comes and sits down at our table and looks at us like we need to move, and they start typing in their names to play. I walked to the front counter to see what’s going on. There’s two workers and then the girl who I guess was manager on duty. No one acknowledged me because they were too busy realizing that the manager had screwed multiple peoples games up. So finally they started talking about lane 19, which was the one I was on. Saying that they had moved another couple from another lane to 19 because the time was up. WHAT?! I didn’t pay for a set amount of time. I paid for TWO games. (Yes, BOGO, but still). I explained that we hadn’t finished our game and that they now assigned other people to my lane. This next part is what really got me, (extra info, we have our 1 year old with us) the staff says to me; okay we are going to move you to 15 and give you a free game or two. WHAT? You’re moving ME?! I was furious. I went to explain it to my husband and we ended up asking for our money back. They couldn’t even refund the money to my card, he had to give me cash. Not sure why. Throughout this whole ordeal, not once did the manager ever look at me, speak directly to me, or apologize. She just kept saying “well the time was up”, while looking down at the computer. This isn’t how you treat customers. If she would have actually had a professional conversation with me, I may have not been so angry. Needless to say, my family will not...
Read moreWas VERY excited to hear about this opening. It’s right next to our house. Has drinks, food, and bowling. Was excited to come check it out and was hoping it would become our new hang out spot. Walked in. Spent over 20 minutes waiting in line to get a lane and shoes. Which would have been fine...except....it was dead.....and there was only 1 person in front of us. Finally got a lane. Started bowling. Pressed the button to get service to order drinks and food. Waited almost 30 minutes while countless employees walked my and ignored the bright green sign that signaled service was needed. Had to go to the front desk. The manager gave me a dumb excuse. Finally got food and drinks. Then the lanes started messing up. Then we needed drink refills and pressed the “need service” button again. Again waited over 20 minutes. We finally just stopped bowling and went to the bar. While finishing our final drinks an employee approached us and asked if we had ordered food/drinks at our lane. We said yes and she said VERY rudely “oh ok good. Well y’all have to pay this tab”. Well....maybe if ANYONE had paid us an ounce of attention we would have been able to pay our bill instead of you approaching us with an attitude about it. I hope that this is just because it’s new. However I am incredibly disappointed and will not be back. This place could be awesome. But management and staff is absolutely terrible. .....UPDATE..... 30 seconds after I posted this...my friend had given cash to the waitress who came up and was rude about our tab...after 15 minutes of waiting for change I approached the girl, named “Buffy”, about his change. She gave me a HUGE attitude and said “I gave it to someone else and they’ll bring it to you when you’re done”. I am not beyond disappointed and am now angry ......UPDATE #2..... waitress came back and began yelling at us because we asked for our change then we were immediately surrounded by other staff members who were yelling at us and were acting as if they legitimately wanted to fight us because we asked the waitress to not be rude anymore. This place...
Read moreREAD THE DETAILS: Had a small group come in for 2 hours of bowling on lanes we reserved weeks in advance. We were told to get there right at our time otherwise we would lose bowling time. We were there but had to wait because they had a majority of lanes down and everything was backed up. The place was a mad house. The clerk behind the desk said “hold on” and walked away for about 15 minutes before returning with the manager. The line was out the door trying to check in by this time. That is when the mgr informed of the issues. There is a security guard on site but he does not stop the teenagers from running and screaming through the alley even though there are all ages and walks of life there. That should be mandatory in order to keep some of the chaos to a minimum. Let me say this, even though our initial experience wasn’t the most pleasant the staff here are TOP NOTCH!!!! All of the people from the manager, to the front desk, to the bartenders, to the girl working the gift section they are all calm, smiling, helpful and WAY OVER WORKED. There is JSO (Jax Sheriff’s Office) posted at the front who comes on site at 9pm on the weekends, which was a wee bit alarming since they need that type of security after 9 in that area. I only say that for people who might have safety concerns. I sincerely blame the owner for not being proactive with getting appropriate amount of staff to work on their busiest times. The lanes were constantly jamming and someone was having to run over and let them know which makes your play time shorter. All in all I do not think I will return here on a weekend night based on the loud teens causing a ruckus. People go out and spend money to get away from that. Kudos for the young manager who was going above and beyond to ensure everyone was well taken care off. This staff is to be commended on their efforts to keep this place open. If I was reviewing just the staff they would have gotten 5 STARS. The owner should recognize them...
