Hi Everyone, Little did I know that today because of the Shop Hop that they had this weekend I was going to walk into the same place as my friend and You Tuber Robert’s Ride Along went to! As I walked inside, I was awed at the coolness of what I was about to walk through! Behind me was a beautiful singing voice which then shocked me when I looked up and some woman was singing then next thing you know my BF is singing with? I’m like oh! You know this song? As we walked into the world of antiques there was no bad smell, people were friendly when walking by you and there was so much to see that we saved the upper level for another time to return for another day of cool artifacts, antiques and handmade accessories! I realized after today that I have the utmost respect for the items of the past that I found myself pointing out to items that I had as a kid! She spotted in booth 33 those very uniquely hand made purses and I talked her into buying one since we were only going to stay on the main level and telling her that you’re not going to find one like that again and everybody is going to want to know where you got it from because it is ONE of a kind! There was only one left and it had her name on it! Me I got poop bags, well the carrier for it with a key chain ring on it. I bought two couldn’t resist! Props to booth 33 for our Shop Hop Weekend! To the owner of this establishment, thank you for pursuing your vision! Stay prosperous! We will be back and this time since we didn’t, get that Naked Bees “Orange Blossom Honey” Lotion cause it sure made my truck smell good! It’s our list to get so please, so, please...
Read more608 Vintage is a GEM! It was an old JC Penny department store, and now they set it up with all independent vendors stocked with vintage and handmade good. It's huge, and just keeps going, 3 levels, and all really well merchandised. It is not easy to have such a large department store not look messy, and the manager of this business keeps things well merchandised, as this place is neat, organized, full selection of well priced vintage , handmade, stuff, mid-century, one of kind, very inspiring to shop. The man at the check out counter, with tattoos, was friendly, and did an excellent job with customer service.I even enjoyed seeing some of the merchants organizing their sections and asking if we need help. Interesting people in this place. I loved it. We will definitely return. Janesville is lucky to have this business. I adore the mid-century chair I bought, plus the midcentury art work, bible, and wooden roadrunner statue. We collect roadrunners. The prices were incredible. Friendly staff, darling neighborhood, easy to park. "Well done 608...
Read moreThis place is so big! We witnessed the emotional reunion of a family that got lost and separated in here. It's so big that kids start whining and losing their minds before they've even passed the cash register. Major life events will happen while you're looking through everything. I got drunk, sober, wrote songs, painted landscapes, got married, bought real estate and changed careers during the time it took to get through here. But this low-key store really is a cool place to visit. You're going to find just about anything you can imagine and the prices are really...
