Bandana's Bar-B-Q and Catering — Attraction in Jefferson City

In traveling considerably, I'm always in constant search of exceptional meals. Today, the Bandana restaurant of Jefferson City, MO, met that obligation. Restaurant ettiquite was delivered properly and impressively upon entry by a warm welcome and professional attitude of the staff and host. My order was a three meat combo with consideration given in sampling there choice of meats independently. The choices made were the chicken, ribs & turkey with a choice of fries and green beans as side compliments. The meat choices were exceptional and outstanding. The smoked turkey provided a consistent, mild smoke flavor throughout, that was not overpowering, yet maintained its moisture content within. The chicken order was incorrect as ordered, but after bringing it to the waitresses attention, she addressed the matter in a fashionable and timely manner. The breast meat was a bit dry, with it being the incorrect item ordered, but the dark meat met the same satisfaction as the turkey described prior. The ribs were also very delicious. Smoke rings were present and not too deep, indicating an appropriate smoke temperature / time, and the outer surface provide the correct basting of sauce, that provided exceptional taste enjoyment. The fries were hot, fresh and enjoyable, while the green beans were pleasant, but tended to have a bit too much of a single spice, that seemed to override them a bit. Overall though, the experience was truly exceptional and satisfying. Not forgetting to mention the spectacular and exceptional service the waitress provided, who went beyond expectations while promoting customer satisfaction.

I'm a tough critic and have been here a few times, but everything was fabulous this evening.

Haylie was our server and did a great job.

Our food came out so quick, it surpassed our appetizer delivery. However, the manager was promptly out to apologize and notify she removed it from the check.

The food itself was on point. I love that the baked beans had a lovely texture that wasn't mushy. Definitely opt for the burnt ends. The meat quality was excellent, no fat fill, and great texture and flavor!

Other members of our party took advantage of the "Budget" menu, which was such a great value- I would return just for this.

Reviewing menu costs and discrepancies (?), I noticed the cost for pork with garlic bread and 2 sides was $9 on the Budget menu. There is also an $11 option for a "Wet baked potato", which includes the potato, pork, bread, and 1 side. Or you could opt for an $11 pork sandwhich and side.... and there is a plate option. It seems like the values should be adjusted, but I was happy with the $9 option and it was quite a bit of food.

There were a few large parties, but noise was minimum, service was prompt without any excuses offered- big A+! Management was on it all night.

It was a large group of us at the Mo. Capital today bcuz a call was put out & we needed to show up & so we did! This is were the majority of others wanted to eat at for lunch! Thank goodness it was a small crowd b4 hand cuz we probably overwhelmed the kitchen 😅...but Tiffany was on the 1 !!! She was great 👍🏾!! She handled us like a pro 👏 very efficient & friendly & people person too!! If she didn't remember what she was going for, she asked again, which is ro be expected due to the the crowd she was serving!! What I liked also was that the team didn't leave her out by herself!! My order wasn't quite right due to her error but, she made sure they got it right in the kitchen! Thanks Tiffany 😊 & she expressed her concern for us eating & driving back safely for those tht were driving! I thgt tht was very genuine of her!!
