Dragon Kitchen — Restaurant in Jefferson City

I WANT to like this place, since it seems to be the only Chinese BUFFET around, and we used to like it. It has gone way downhill in the last couple years. The eggrolls are tough like they use 3 wrappers at a time, no more fried fish, the noodles this time were like dry plain spaghetti noodles they were so bland and flavorless. There are always a FEW good items on the buffet (which is why 2 stars instead of 1) but you just never know which ones they will be any given time. Usually the service is decent at least. This time, however, the lady tried to seat us (a family of 4, 2 teenage girls and 2 BIG adults) in a booth right across from a booth that had a baby seat in a high chair at the end.🤯 Why?! How awkward for everyone! It wasn't packed, there were plenty of other places to sit. When I asked to be seated somewhere else, she just looked at me like I was crazy. And didn't say anything. So I turned around and walked toward another section and just stood there. Finally she came and asked if a table nearby was ok. I said sure. Thank you. She took our drink orders then left. The server in that section only cleared our plates once, toward the end when it didn't really matter anymore, and never offered refills on our drinks. Not sure if it was because of the seating incident or not, but I think it might've been our last straw. Desperate for buffet or not we probably...

My complaint is that our waitress literally couldn't push us out the door fast enough. We were finishing up and she's standing there like she's waiting for something. So we ask her where we pay, thinking she's waiting for that. She says we pay up front, so why is she standing there? The moment we start to get up from the table, she's basically reaching between us to get the table wiped before we're even all standing up. I was trying to hand my mom's coat across to her and the woman is reaching under to keep wiping. Kept saying "thank you, have a nice day!" over and over as she tries to clean around us. She may as well have said "can you please hurry up, we've got people waiting". She also picked up the tray with the bill on it about 3 times to look at it and try handing it to us, like we were going to walk off without it. We hadn't even picked up our purses.

And yes, there were a few people waiting. Looked like 2 small parties. But you know, it wouldn't have killed them if their wait was 90 seconds longer. It was a Friday night, people expect places to be busy.

Please tell your staff not to begin cleaning the tables until the people sitting there have walked away. It's rude to rush people out of...

I really really hate giving bad reviews. However the place was very run down looking on the inside and outside. There was a large crowd so upon entering I thought it must be good food. We were sat at a booth that the seats were all torn up on. We ordered our drinks from the waitress, whom was very nice. We entered into the buffet area where there plenty of options. I like to try new thing so I only take like a bite or two of different stuff. I ended up getting a bite of the coconut shrimp (which was gooey on the inside) did not finish bite. Took a bite of the peanut butter chicken. Had great flavor but still very unsure it was chicken. Took a bite of one of thr Rangoon and the cream cheese filling tasted like sour milk. Did not finish. Took a bite of what was suppose to be beef Mongolian. Broccoli cooked well had great flavor but the beef did not taste like beef at all!!!! Idk what it was but it definitely was not beef! It was like nothing I ever tasted before and it gooshed in my mouth, when I bit down like I was taking a bite of pure fat but you could tell it was meat by the look. I about lost my cookies. I managed to get it down and I was done with trying anything else. I would never recommend eating...
