United States Postal Service — Attraction in Jefferson City

I have never had an issue with this location until yesterday/today. Tried sending a couple of books via media mail yesterday and made the mistake of mentioning that I had cushioned the books with a bit of paper. Was told they would accept it this time but not to do that again. That's fine, I usually don't, but was being cautious. Purchased postage and thought all was well. Today the box was back at my door, rejected, opened, box damaged beyond use, books damaged like I was trying to avoid, with a flier taped to it about what qualifies as media...

What’s the point of the post office!? Let’s give this business to UPS or FedEx! If nothing else, you would think the post office would know how to address letters/packages. Well these guys here DO NOT!

This place is a disaster. Forwarded my mail, and apparently they don’t know how to do that. First they forward my mail 2 weeks before the scheduled date, then I find out they are not putting my full address on the forward so all my packages are sent...
