Long before Tracy opened the Raku Gallery he had a modest little pottery shop not far from Aurum Jewelry. His Downhill Trading Co. was the kind of place where you'd walk in and find Tracy sitting at his potter's wheel spinning a new creation. Jerome got most of its visitors back then on Holidays and good weather weekends.
Fast forward: when Tracy moved further uptown and renovated an old building there, I was immediately blown away. It was sometime in the early 80's I want to say that I walked into his new place and gazed immediately out of a floor-to-ceiling glass window wall. Big, big panes of safety glass that framed the old "One-In-A-Million" Jerome view of the Verde Valley, Sedona's red rock cliffs further out, and finally the San Francisco Peaks 30-40 miles distant, rising above Flagstaff on top of the Colorado Plateau. Holy you-know, Tracy had created the perfect space to both enjoy wonderful art pieces and display while gazing now and then at eternity through that window wall.

This year we purchased a very large item and had it shipped back to Canada. Sadly, the article was damaged in shipping, no fault of the gallery they went above and beyond to remedy the situation. Our hats are off to the owner and staff of the raku gallery. I would highly recommend buying anything from them and dealing with them. They have outstanding customer service....
