This only takes a few minutes, and yes it's hard to miss, but it's worth turning the motor home around three times to find, even with a husband who's beginning to grumble! Lol The two teen boys locked into their phones were basically ordered to look up and look and when you're looking down a mine shaft over 1/3 mile deep, even they got excited! Again, it's one of those places you'll never see anywhere else but here. There's no big visitor center, just a fence that says "open" and when we left at just after five, no one had come by to switch it to "shut" yet. So really, you can spend 20 minutes here and you'll be talking about it two hours later. They only ask for donations through a secure slot, no ticket required, so it's also inexpensive.
