UPDATE: 3/1/2024 Finally was able to get a response from Corporate customer service and Kevin. Emiliano was throwing Kevin under the bus when it was indeed Emiliano's error at Corporate. My credit will be applied and my repair kit is ordered. The five stars is for Kevin, but I give a 1 star to Emiliano for throwing Kevin under the bus, messing up the order and not returning my phone calls or emails.
UPDATE: SO, the sale went great as I stated below, Kevin was amazing, BUT I received a damaged dryer on delivery day of February 9th, 2024. I called Kevin immediately and he said I could keep the dryer and get money off or request a new one dryer. I requested 15% off and a repair kit to fix the paint missing on the corner of the dryer. this was approved by Grand Appliance corporate office, customer service rep Emiliano. It is now February 29th, I am still waiting on my repair kit after several emails and calls to corporate and Kevin. Today I received my statement and the discount was NOT applied! I was so hopefully I found a place for my future appliances. Kevin has completely ghosted me! I AM NOT HAPPY!
The one in Joliet is by far the best customer service I have rec'd at Grands. I was going to the Orland location, definitely NOT anymore. The sales associate, Kevin Wales, was so friendly, upbeat, and very knowledgeable with the appliances I was trying to decide on. His knowledge helped me decide on one out of the two I was looking at. Read moreWe ordered a refrigerator and the salesman, Mike was helpful and helped us make sure we got the right product for our needs and fit into our space. The delivery date was scheduled for 3 days later, but the night prior Mike called us and informed us that the fridge was not put on the truck from the warehouse and we wasn’t sure when the next delivery date would be. Things happen, and we understood, however the communication from the store quickly changed. The following day we called for an update and spoke with someone other than Mike and they told us “the manufacturer didn’t have any of those refrigerators left and we were dealing with Mike, so we had to wait to talk to him”. Hearing this we were very frustrated, and confused. We waited for a call back but called the next day, we spoke with Mike who gave us the run around and then shared we have a tentative date, which was 2 weeks later but was confident it would change. We did finally get our fridge a week later, but the communication from the store to the warehouse and the process clearly needs to be worked on. When we were told 2 different things, people get upset and frustrated, especially when they pay a good chunk of money for something. Please consider having the entire team aware of a situation when a customer calls to ensure that frustration does not take place.
In regards to the delivery. The crew was polite, great and informative. They helped us set everything up, made sure there were no marks, dents and everything was installed on the fridge. Fantastic...
Read moreI purchased a washer and stove from this company. The stove just under 2 years old. The washer is not even one year old. Both are not working properly. Most recently I contacted them about the stove. I talked to a representative and a supervisor named John. I explained the gas from the stove has a leak, confirmed my nicor gas company(right back burner) who came to shut off the gas while I was at work with my wife and kids at home. He did not seem to care. He said sometimes appliances break down. He did not want to settle or compensate for any inconveniences or acknowledge the fact it was a major safety concern and my family was at risk for injury or death.
The washer we bought was new. After a couple months the washer started shaking, rumbling aggressively, and was extermely loud. Two techs came out to run diagnostics. They kept telling us nothing is wrong. We complained multiple times to this company and GE. They finally sent a special tech who replaced the dampers. However, the machine still shakes and is extremely loud.
My wife and I are extemely dissatisfied with this company to say the least. We bought from ABT before. No issues. We will no longer be purchasing anything from grand appliance.
