I am not one to usually write reviews but this deserved to be written. I originally reviewed Hanks fine furniture with 5 stars at the time of purchase it's a week later and I'm amending my review. Service after the sale is ridiculous! We bought a sofa, over sized chair, ottoman and a recliner. We were told all minus the recliner would be in Wednesday said we couldn't pick it up till Saturday Steve told us no problem that recliner should be in by then. Was told all we have to do is show up they would have the furniture wrapped would load it and tie it down for us. So I called Saturday morning at 10 when they opened asked was told recliner not in said family member was coming to get our furniture that was in now, was told ok no problem. My brother arrived at 10:30 they said come back in 30 mins so he leaves calls after 11 and is told it will be another 30 mins. So after 1130 they go up there to get the furniture again and one guy is back there so my brother is going to help load furniture well their employee can't lift it so dropped my couch off their loading dock. So my brother has to pick up the couch and put it on trailer, so then their employee just pushes the ottoman through the warehouse to the edge of the dock and is done helping. When we unloaded furniture my ottoman is ripped. Called to salesman Steve(who we bought the furniture from) had to leave a message, 3 hours later get a call back, he says that loading dock didn't open till 11 I asked why I wasn't told that when I spoke to him earlier said didn't realize we were coming even though I told him that we were. So try to go on to tell the rest and am interrupted several times so finally have had to ask for a call back from the manager. We spent a lot of money here and will never be back again, customer service apparently doesn't matter after the sale is made. Update I finally received a call back after 8 pm where the manager Randy was beyond unprofessional in telling me that he's used to people like me he deals with them every day that he has the best guys in the business and they wouldn't do that, I informed him my mom and brothers girlfriend were there and saw this happen, to which he replied I'm sure they did. Have contacted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I was going out to Walmart; I always passed Hanks Furniture store until a particular night. I decided to go in and I met a smiling face guy named Steve. He greeted me and I told him it was my first time in this store.
He did not hesitate to show me around. I told him I shop at Harris Furniture and I wanted to expand my horizon by looking at other furniture stores to see what they had to offer.
He gave me a tour and the place was so big because they have several showrooms with different design schemes. One of the things that popped out to me was the accessories and paintings.
Steve told me to take my time and make myself at home. One year later I have many Hanks products in my apartment. Majority of my accesories like the paintings; mounted mirrors; ballerina figurine; crystal balls; etc.
Steve told me it okay to buy your furniture from one store and accessories from another. He was not pressure selling and he appreciated I became a dedicated loyal customer constantly buying. He work with me on finding deals, affordable prices, and helps me to see the vision.
Later I got introduced to Jake, Jacob, Martha, Brain, Randy and so on. This staff is as energetic and motivated to work here like Steve. I had a good first impression of this place and been a customer for two years.
I would say broaden your horizon and not shop at one furniture store . Shop at several furniture stores just accesories alone like vases, figurines, etc alone is the reason why.
These pictures represent my experience and how I brought items in my home. Come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely the worst buying experience of my life. They will be nice to you and treat you so nice when making the sale but you mean nothing to the entire company after the sale has been made. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I wish we had listened to some others and had not made the mistake we did. We have contacted their corporate office as well and they all have the same customer service. I wish the ownership would look into the issues they have because the terrible service has become a culture in this company. People donāt mind to pay good money for a good product and we donāt mind to wait either but we would like good customer service. They may have become so detached and focused only on making money that they donāt care at all. The culture being taught and learned there is not one of customer service at all after the sale. Just take some good advice and save yourself the miserable experience of buying from this business in any location. Also this is the best wake up call for any business to correct their course. Zach who works in sales and who is also the assistant manager as well as Aaron the manager have no problem with lying to you all day long. They have taught the other employees to do the same for them as well as for themselves. They are focused only on making a sale for the money they will make and the status they will gain within the company. They have taken hold on the companies current culture. Jonesboro has so many options so again just go anywhere else....
