I don’t ever care enough to right reviews but this place was just way too deserving for me not to. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for the first time a couple weeks ago. It initially caught my eye from the aesthetic of the place- I thought it was beautifully decorated and it fit my vibe so well. As soon as we walked in I fell in love, not only with the look and intimacy of it, but the top tier customer service- I have NEVER been to a place that had such GOOD customer service, it blew me away. The person who took our orders/ gave us our food made us feel like valued customers with his inviting demeanor and friendly personality. He warned us that our trunk was open and said that it anything was taken they had camera footage if necessary and could compensate us for any stolen items, whatever we needed (everything was fine as it was only open for a little and nothing was in the car anyway but it was very generous). He also gave us Turkish tea on the house and just whatever we needed in the slightest- he was ready to happily accommodate. The food was a new experience for me but an experience I don’t regret as it was every meaning of the word “delicious” (especially the garlic sauce they have). This place is in a spot that is often times overlooked but the quality of this restaurant and it’s employees are superior and deserve a lot more attention. I had only $20 bucks in my wallet but I had never been so happy to give it all up as a tip. $10 for the chef and $10 for the very kind gentleman who was at the register. This place will not disappoint! My boyfriend and I will be going back there as often as we broke, full-time students can...
Read moreVisiting Jonesboro for a work trip and came to Pella Cafe for dinner and was blown away. I personally eat from my local (very delicious) Mediterranean restaurant in Northwest Arkansas every single Sunday. Non-chain mediterranean is also my go to when traveling so you can say I’ve had my fair share of experiences to compare too. Pella cafe was hands down the best Mediterranean I have ever had! We started with the Pella Sampler and Fried Cheese. Both were incredible. The hummus on the sampler was wonderfully smooth and almost buttery. The Baba Ghanoush was creamy, slightly smokey, and very flavorful. The Lentil soup and chicken shawarma were also wonderfully delicious! They also offered a yummy hot tea with the meal too! They also have a small gift shop in the back that’s full of lovely gifts. I ended up with a gorgeous evil eye tea set. I’m very seldom in this area so I am delighted and a bit sad I stumbled on such wonderful food so far...
Read moreUnique. Nothing else in town provides Mediterranean/Near Eastern food that is authentic and absolutely delicious. From the honest-to-God Jordanian olive trees to imported foods, Pella is a unique contribution to our city. Their kitchen and menu provide everything from a quick baklava to a full-course meal that transports the diner to another place and another time. I've eaten there, had them cater, and done a quick pickup--expertly packed so that nothing falls over or out. I dropped in, ordered a takeout and was told there would be a twenty minute wait. I might have left and returned but instead ordered a Turkish coffee and enjoyed looking at the decor and admiring the wonderful board games. The coffee was great, complete with a bit of "mud" in the bottom of the cup. I took my sampler-plus order home to grateful guests. More than enough, we enjoyed humus and pita the next day. Pella is a...
