Trim Gym Health & Fitness Club — Attraction in Jonesboro

Where do I start?.. First, I joined on a corporate (Nestle) family 24 hour access membership in which I was handed 4 access cards and verified they worked. A week later, i decided to steal a quick workout before my shift. I swiped ALL of the cards at the 24 hour access section did not work. Luckily an employee was at the desk. He took me to the computer and informed me that I in fact did not have 24 hour access even though they had charged me for 24 hour access. He fixed the issue there only to have the same issue resurface the very next time I can back (few days later). This happened at least 4 times. Next, the place put a hold on my account for $80 in which one of the managers told me they were only going to take $51 and the remaining should fall back on to my account, never happened. Then, a couple weeks later I called to ask them to move my payment date from the 2nd to the 6th to avoid a negative balance on my bank account and also overdraft fees and the employee on the phone told me they couldn't move it. I have called to cancel my membership only to be told that I have to arrive in person on top of paying a cancellation fee and $5+ per month that I actually already paid for lol. No issue out if the males but the females are VERY discriminative concerning who they greet and are courteous to, makes me wish there was an entrance with no humans just a machine to check in. Facility is nice and the gym has an awesome indoor pool for doing laps and since I'm a army powerlifter I thoroughly enjoy the options the gym offers. Pretty good facility but insanely overpriced considering that you have multiple other gyms within a 1 mile radius that off memberships for $1-$10 monthly. This gym definitely haves a good size and variety for being in such a small town like here,that was impressive. I loved that they have a pool and even a whirlpool and sauna in the ladies bathroom! The down side...lots of construction going on,one time I was inhaling turpentine from the fan were the treadmills are while running...they had painters over in a different room but the smell was extremely strong,it made me dizzy after a while and being on a treadmill running isn't a good combination to inhale that. Also I have to questioning the cleaning staff...while using the treadmill I had a small paper towel with me from wiping the treadmill off before using it and when I left I forgot it there in those bottle holders...next day I went (around 10.00 am) and used the same one and that paper towel was still there. That happened couple times before...🤢 You would think with covid going on they pay more attention to such things but nope. I recommend to always clean whatever you gonna touch before using any of those machines! Here some pictures I made from some paper towels still sitting in the same spot the day before ... I liked the facility while I was a member there. Staff was never really that friendly though but I rarely needed to deal with them. I decided to put my account on hold about 6 months ago because I wasn't sure if I was going to need my membership anymore. I forgot about the account over time and started getting mass texts and emails telling me to update my information recently so I drove to the facility today to tell them to cancel my account. I was hoping they would have automatically cancelled my account since I haven't been there in 6 months. No, they charged me $30 dollars for this months membership and told me that there is no way to waive the charge even though I haven't been there in half a year and despite that it was a mistake that I forgot to cancel. Even after years as a member they refused to waive one charge I had accidentally left open. Then they tell me if I want to cancel my account I have to pay them or Ill just get charged again next month. That's really lousy customer service.
