I reserved a room online on Monday morning... for Tuesday night. An "accessible" smoking room. I point this out so that you understand.. it's not like I just showed up and surprised them. They had 24 hours notice of my arrival, and my Visa to hold the room.

I check in... and don't immediately go to my room, I chose to go across the street and have dinner at IHOP. After dinner, I return to super 8 Jonesboro and go to my room... and the housekeeping staff apparently had not even touched it since the last guests left. Dirty towels all over the bathroom floor, along with the obligatory dead cockroach. A ziplock baggie on the sink. Trash in the trash can in the room, and a totally unmade bed.

I called the front desk, and the lady (a different one than checked me in an hour or so ago) comes to the room with clean bedding to check it out after a 15-20 minute wait. She was going to move me, but as I pointed out... YESTERDAY I reserved a ground floor, accessible, smoking room on my card. Unless they have another one, someone on the hotel staff needs to do what they should have done with this one and CLEAN it.

She was surly for a bit, but agreed to clean the room.

If this is indicative of this hotels cleaning habits and level of organization... it's no wonder there was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor with the towels.

Posting photos taken just after I entered the room, none of the...

I'm not sure where to start with this place. I reserved 3 rooms, each with 2 beds. One of which was to be a handicap accessible room. We got here at about 7:30 & they had canceled our room because we were not here at 6:00. They still had some rooms so we checked in. We go to the handicap room and there is just one bed. Which is super high off the floor. I am 5-10 and can not just sit on it I have to scoot to get up on it. There was also a tub not a walk in shower. Putting grab bars & a taller toilet is NOT all it takes to make it handicap accessible. One of our other rooms the toilet didn't always want to work and yet another one the AC wouldn't come on. After a very long drive in a moving truck in the pouring rain we just gave up and went to sleep. There was also this weird smell thru the whole hotel. Next morning I go to the breakfast room and they have weak coffee, cereal, apples/bananas, juice, toast and thawed out Eggo waffles. I would say the most positive thing I can say about this place is for only .75 you can get a brand new toothbrush off the wall in the breakfast room. My advise..dont stay here..ever. Sleep in your car, it will be a...

Worst management ever! As a person who works nights Its hard to find a hotel that will allow us to pay for one night and use the room for less than a day. We checked in at 4am and was sure to let the clerk know we needed the room until 7pm.. The front desk clerk agreed and gave me a receipt showing arrival time and departure for 7pm. However, around 11am we had housekeeping banging on our door telling us to check out. I advised her of our receipt. 20 mins later the housekeeping manager pounds on the door telling me to go pay or get out. To make a long story short. I refused to pay another $80 to stay only 6 more hours and was TOLD to leave. The owner was there and literally refused to talk to me about the situation. The 'manager' refused to talk to me and had the poor girl at the front desk do all of their dirty work. I was never loud or hateful throughout the situation but the housekeeping manager made sure she was! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANOTHER SUPER 8! DO NOT TAKE THEIR 'WORD' AS EVEN IN PRINT ON PAPER THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH! VERY...

I am laying here contemplating my decision, it smells atrocious in here, imagine finding a chain smoking, no bathing homeless person who been on the streets for the last 5 years and then sleeping in his sleeping bag zipped over your head! In stings my nose and even burns my eyes, this is even a non-smoking room, you should smell the area where the smoking rooms are, it just seeps thru the walls. And if that isn't enough the carpets are just disgusting and bedding is riddled with stains of unknown origin and burn holes. Staff seems cool and are just doing the best they can with limited resources. As a rule I always try to do La Quinta but this was the only vacancy in the area and these chains are always operated by Indian ppl and they cut every corner possible for long as possible. Tape over the smoke detector, who tf knows if it even works? Shoddy patch jobs, particle board in the bathrooms lol.
