Roller City Entertainment — Attraction in Joplin

1st time going to this place. Went for a birthday party and at the entry door I asked the lady checking with the list very specifically "Do I need to pay for my skates so that I can skate with my 3 year old daughter?" The girl replied "No you don't because you are with the party" I asked "Are you positive?" She replies "Yep, here is your skate ticket". After the party we all went to leave and they said at the counter "You didnt pay for your skates and need to pay." I told what they girl said and they were extremely rude and was no you need to pay. (They wouldn't even let me tell them what was all said by the girl at the door, just kept interrupting me as was try to speak. Very rude) I was very irritated now and was like fine since your poeple lied to me at the door. How much do I owe?. The lady behind the counter was before I tell you how much let me tell you our policy... I said "I don't want to hear you policy just tell how much so I can pay." She said "No let me tell you our poilcy 1st" I told her "I don't care nor want to hear the policy. I just want to know how much and to pay so I and leave". After like 10 mintues of the is Finally was able to get the amount to pay. I WAS going to have my kids party there NOT now. I will drive to all the way to Springfield or other place. I will not be returning and will not recommend here.......

Edit: I never indicated to the mother (my best friend) that I paid for the ticket I was trying to tell her exactly what I was told at the door by your employee, (You all made it so she thought it was her fault) I have other people that heard what your employee said. I NEVER said your staff came to me and demand money from me. I have washed my hands of it and will not return or do business with this place. GOD Bless you and...

I booked this for my sons birthday party. Overall the atmosphere is fun, the staff we're nice our host was great. No complaints there at all. The one thing I am very upset about is the fact that I paid a pretty good chunk of money to have 4,5, &6 year olds try to skate with out trainers as the facility didn't have enough. My son cried because he couldn't skate. All the friends couldn't skate either. This was a huge bust and waste of money. I don't understand allowing multiple people to hoard all the trainers for the "just in case" they need them. The 2 hours I was there I saw countless trainers not being used, but instead under tables. No kids in sight, you guessed it they was out on the floor skating with out the trainer. I have only been to this establishment a handful of times for other parties and there were lots of trainers available and we all had a good time, I guess we live and we learn. Next time I will book privately or not at all. I wish you all the best of luck, but I would highly consider getting more trainers or fixing the hoarding issue it was unreal the amount of trainers lying around...

Extremely upset with how my kids party went. The employees were rude, they didn’t want to allow the kids to play laser tag more then once every 30/40 minutes when we had a large group of people so everyone couldn’t go at once which meant we had several kids upset throughout the party, every one of my guests came to me about the employees attitudes and how they talked to the kids and adults in my group, they allowed random people to continually take my group’s assistance skaters and then charged us repeatedly for getting replacements for them, they WAY over charged me for the party which meant I ended up spending $300 there after already prepaying almost $300 to book the party and I had to miss my kids opening gifts to fix the issue.. we went back in June and had a completely different experience, it was amazing during the party I threw for my daughter then so I’m extremely disappointed about this turned out for how expensive it is, how disappointed my kids and their birthday party...
