Englewood Park is a nice smaller sized park. Rarely super crowded and the gate around the play ground area is nice. There is a lake near the fenced in playground, but there are no fences around the lake itself. I frequently see people fishing here while kids play. I don’t come to this park as frequently as the others, simply because this parks size and equipment is geared more towards kiddos under ten. Beautiful place to go, great for dog walks, fishing, and a great playground tor the kiddos. There are two standard swings and two swings for toddlers/smaller kiddos. I adore the signage and sign language stations for the kids. I give this park four out of five stars because— 1) The lack of parking near the park makes it difficult for some who need Accessible/Disabled parking.

Although the playground was set up strangely, my son and nephews had a GREAT time! The playground is near a lake but it does have a fence mostly around it. Paved walkways for leashed animals and baby strollers. Plenty of seating outside of the fence for picnics with provided tables and PLENTY of trashcans. When you have a baby, those are so helpful to be near. I did not see a convenient bathroom or even a bathroom. My brother-in-law said he thinks there is one, but not near the playground.

This is a beautiful little park! It might not look like much, but with a playground, a lake, and a baseball field, there's something for almost anyone. There's always someone walking their dog or watching the ducks and geese. I've even seen people fishing! It's quite peaceful, even if you don't even get out of your car. It's the perfect place to eat at during your lunch break with plenty of places to park.

Englewood Park in Kansas City, MO, is a hidden gem worth discovering. Nestled in a serene neighborhood, the park offers a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. We have lived 15 minutes away from this park for over 20 years and never even knew it was here! Ever since discovering it, it has been our go-to park for fishing/playing with the kids! Love it! It's the best! On our most recent trip to the park (5-30-21) they had upgraded the playground area to include a fence surrounding the whole thing... now if only there was more than one bench for parents to sit on! There are six very prominent nice shade trees in the playground it would be awesome if they added a bench under each for all the parents to sit on...That is literally the one & only con/suggestion I would give...
