We frequent the 54th Street in Liberty and have never had any issues. This location is about 5 minutes closer to home so we figured we'd give it a try. We will never be back, as it was nothing but issues from start to finish. I'll list them out for easier reading.
We were seated after a 50 minute wait, typical for a Friday night. After being seated, it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our waiter (Justice), and have drink orders taken (again, Friday night so that can be forgiven).
I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and the Missus a sweet tea. She got her drink delivered to the table in about 5 minutes. I glanced over at the bar to see my drink ready and waiting for our waiter. A long while passed, drink still sitting at the bar, and our waiter seen several times going to and from the kitchen but not grabbing it. Finally, 20 minutes after ordering it, our waiter grabbed the drink and brought it over, with no apology for the wait. At this point, we should have got our check and left, but we waited in a 50 minute line to get into this place, we were hungry and desperate, so we ordered our food.
While waiting for our food, both of our drinks had ran out. It took Justice over 10 minutes to notice before offering refills. At this point in the night, the restaurant wasn't that busy, no excuse for not keeping an eye on drinks. It took another 15 minutes for my Long Island to arrive at the table.
The food took about 30 minutes to come out, on par for a Friday night. However, I was served a flat-iron steak (lowest quality on the menu) in place of the filet mignon (highest quality on the menu) I ordered. The waitress who brought it out apologized for the mix-up, and stated a fresh filet was in the works and would be out shortly. Normally this would have been fine with me, the more food the merrier right? Wrong.
The $10 steak I was served in place of my $22 steak was not only cold to the touch, but was borderline raw. The outside looked fine, but cutting into it revealed a severely undercooked flesh that was still very dark red. I immediately stopped eating and waited for the correct steak to be served.
25 minutes later, after the Missus had almost finished her entire meal, my filet mignon was served by the "manager." This "manager" was not apologetic at all, and tried to defend the restaurant by stating "these thicker cuts of steak need more time to cook so they're not served raw."
I ordered my filet medium, and it was served to me very well done. Hard, chewy outside and no pink in the middle. I wasn't about to wait another 25 minutes for a new steak, and figured the manager would have taken some $ off our tab for the wait, so I didn't say anything.
We asked for the check as soon as the steak was delivered, and it took our waiter over 15 minutes to get it to us. Looking at the check, we were charged full price for the steak.
I used to work as a Manager in the food service industry before going to law enforcement. It is entry-level manager knowledge that if the restaurant causes any sort of inconvenience for a customer,(wrong food delivered, long wait for food, etc.) something should be given extra so the customer returns. I wasn't expecting my $22 steak to be free, but at least a couple dollars taken off for the trouble, or a free dessert or something. Nope, no apology from management, no apology from the waiter, nothing.
I hope the owner sees some of these negative reviews on here, there are multiple, and makes some changes. We weren't the only table having issues. The table next to us (also in Justice's section) were seated just minutes after us, and had just received their food as we were leaving (over an hour wait).
We will not be coming back to this location. It is worth the extra drive for us to go somewhere where the customer comes first. Pretty sure the budget pizza buffet in the same parking lot would have given us a refund if a similar situation...
Read moreI've never dined in, but I regularly order curbside pickup, and every time it's been a fantastic experience. They bring the food out quickly, and I've never had anything missing from my order. I truly appreciate how consistently fast and reliable their service is.
The food is solid, though nothing has completely blown me away. I’ve had their chicken club salad a few times, and it's always fresh and a good portion size. I also tried the Havana Club sandwich. While I didn't love the amount of mustard (which is just a personal preference), it was still a really good sandwich overall. Their sweet potato fries are another highlight—crispy, seasoned well, and enjoyable.
Even though I typically do curbside, the presentation of the food is always neat and well-packaged. Everything arrives looking fresh, and you can tell they put care into how they prepare each meal.
For the quality and portion sizes, I think the prices are fair. I’ve never felt like I was paying too much for what I received, and it's a great value for a quick, reliable meal.
Overall, I’d describe my experience with this restaurant as dependable and satisfying. The food is consistently good, the service is fast and reliable, and I can always count on them for a solid meal. While nothing is groundbreaking, I’d definitely come back and recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something quick, tasty, and easy.
---{ Restaurant Experience }--- ☐ Transported to another dimension. ☐ Beautiful. ☑ Comfortable enough to enjoy the meal. ☐ It’s a restaurant, it has tables. ☐ The ambiance was served cold. ☐ It’s best experienced with closed eyes. ☐ Bring your own Lysol and sense of humor.
---{ Service }--- ☐ Michelin-star treatment ☐ Felt like they were reading my mind. ☑ They brought the food and smiled, so we're good. ☐ They were there, but just barely. ☐ Felt like I had to chase them down for napkins. ☐ I’m still waiting for my drink refill. ☐ The server ghosted me mid-meal.
---{ Culinary Performance }--- ☐ Masterpiece. Food dreams are made of this. ☐ Could've had a standing ovation. ☑ Solid choice. ☐ I ate it, I’m alive, that’s something. ☐ I’ve had better frozen dinners. ☐ Burnt toast-level.. Maybe the chef hates food too. ☐ I questioned my choices.
---{ Presentation }--- ☐ Too pretty to eat... almost. ☐ Looked like it came straight out of a cooking show. ☑ Good. Nicely plated middle of the road. ☐ It’s not winning any awards, but here it is. ☐ Looked like a Jackson Pollock painting, but not on purpose. ☐ I think they threw it from across the kitchen. ☐ Please, hide this.
---{ Value for Money }--- ☐ I feel like I got away with something here.. ☐ Take my money, I’d eat this again and again. ☑ Good deal. Not bad, I’d pay it again. ☐ Price and food match up, I guess. ☐ I cried when I saw the bill. ☐ I think I just paid for their entire renovation. ☐ You could also just burn your money (Seriously, buy groceries instead).
---{ Overall Impression }--- ☐ I saw the culinary gods, and they waved. ☐ This meal will live rent-free in my heart. ☑ Solid experience, would recommend. ☐ I ate, I’m full, that’s about it. ☐ I'd rather have stayed home. ☐ By tomorrow, I hope I don't remember eating here. ☐ I’ve made better choices at 3 AM in...
Read moreWe usually have a favorable experience, at this restaurant, but we were disappointed with the service this time. Our server, Alexandria, seemed inexperienced or in a rush to get out of there. We were seated around 9:00 pm. We ordered some water, but we wanted to review the menu, before ordering drinks, an appetizer, etc. She kept coming back to ask want we wanted to order, before we had sufficient time to review our options. She was helpful and did answer our questions about menu items. We ordered our drinks. We ordered the 3 course dinner for 2 and asked for both mayonnaise and horseradish with our entrees. When the entrees were delivered, by a different server, there wasn't any horseradish. We contacted our server and she did correct it, but the was a delay. I tend to eat faster, than my wife, so I finished my entree first. Our dessert was brought to our table, by another server, while my wife was still eating her entree. Our server arrived later, while it was obivious my wife was still eating her entree. The server reached for my wife's plate and asked her if she wanted a box. My wife replied that she was still eating and continued to eat her entree. The server brought our check, before we even started to eat the dessert. We had a small coupon, which I placed with my credit card, in the check holder. The server took it and when she returned, with the credit card receipt, but not a copy of the itemized receipt. Also the discount had not been applied. I asked for an itemized receipt and then she asked me if I had a coupon, because something fell in the trash. She took my credit card and receipt again, to correct the mistake. She returned with a corrected credit card receipt, but again she did not have a copy of the itemized receipt. I asked her again for a copy of the itemized receipt and she did supply it. Although our food was very good, our dining experience was unpleasant, due to the actions of the staff. We...
