Pizza Street — Restaurant in Kansas City

Sorry to feel obligated to report negatively on our visit to your store but you DID ask....and i always do my best to speak truthfully. My sis and i used to eat at Pizza Street Very Often When it first opened and for years thereafter.

However, she and I were making our home in Calif. for the past decade and today (Mon.May 20th, 2019) decided to have an early lunch at your store. Actually, we were the first of two or three others as customers....and we received the warmest welcome from a competant young lady as anyone could hope for.

We were surprised to find that none of the pizzas were memorable. We commented to one another, how every bite Used To Draw out a sigh of pleasure which begged for the next bite. Not once but again and again throughout the meal. But not only were they lacking in flavor ... but when it came to the dessert pizzas, there was a distinct AfterTaste from the vanilla 'flavoring' leaving a prolonged nasty taste in our mouth long after we had returned home. Our guess was maybe the brand of vanilla OR THE possibility that they had used an artificial flavoring rather than a PURE VANILLA EXTRACT.... of course we are believers in the WATKINS BRAND.... but regardless of the brand we always choose an expensive brand . There IS ACTUALLY A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

THIS will possibly be our last trip to PIZZA STREET.... untill we hear from others it has improved.

Extremely sorry. We suppose that MIKE who was the original owner is no longer in control and that is really sad. What a shame. At one time most of our family and church brethren came most every Sunday.

I want to start off by saying I NEVER leave bad reviews unless I feel as though the experience was really awful. Our visit today 10/11 was really awful. To start, as we are paying we ask the cashier (also known as the manager, Rufina) about military or teacher discount to which we are told they don’t give any discounts & the price will be the same. (We’ve been loyal customers for years & have always received discount) Although slightly disappointed, not a deal breaker. We eat dinner & play games in the arcade where 2 of the games ate our coins. Didn’t complain as I know things happen… To finish off, as we are leaving, we go to the vending toy machines by the exit door that my daughter has been eagerly waiting for. The machine ate our coins…no toy. I tell the manager, Rufina, (who watched us as we were attempting to get toy) that the machine took our money & she said that there’s nothing she can do about it & she will not give our dollar back. A DOLLAR. I asked her why there isn’t a sign on the machine stating that it is broken & she said “it’s not broken”… after I proved it to her that the machine isn’t working properly, she continued saying no money back. A simple resolution of giving my daughter her four quarters back so she wouldn’t be leaving disappointed would’ve saved me from writing this whole review & would’ve had returning customers. But because of the AWFUL customer service by management—we will not be returning. If you hate your job so much find a new job! Do...

We have been going to this pizza street for years. My two children and I paid for 2 adults (13-year old) and a child buffet the other night totaling around $28. My mother who got canceled at work decided to stop in and sit with us. She had already eaten and just wanted a drink and to sit with her family. There were maybe 4 other tables in there. A worker approached our table very rude/angry/reactive telling us she would have to leave if she didn't purchase a buffet. I explained I'd paid for 3 buffets and she was my mother not taking any more room than we 3 would. She said it was policy and they have signs everywhere about it. She asked if we would like the corporate number. I said yes. She brought it back by. I called. Well of course it was after hours for corporate crap. My mother stayed there after we reasoned amongst ourselves what their course of action would be? I mean they wouldn't be able to physically carry my mother out and I doubt NKCPD would give a flying f if some older lady sat with her daughter and grandchildren in a pizza street without paying. You could tell it scared my mother though.. staring up at the workers as if she'd be confronted again at anytime. Needlesstosay we won't be returning to this pizza street.
