Notice how most of these reviews are posted by people that had only recently moved in and mention Javier, and also note the bad review stating that most of the bad reviews have been scrubbed… I moved into this apartment September 2022 and since that time I have seen three different property managers come and go. I got pregnant while staying here and ended up needing to move home out of state because the father became abusive. I told them about the situation, basically begging for them to work with me and they told me subleasing was a violation of the lease and the only way they were willing to “work with me” was to make me pay back the first three months discounted rate which was a promotion to get people to sign a lease. I was informed by property manager 2 of 3 that the building owner, Del Hedgepath, asked her why I thought that was their problem. Google him and draw your own conclusions about his character. There is nothing in the lease that states the apartment staff cannot come into your place without your consent, so when I informed them I had to leave the state wasn’t staying there anymore, and would be collecting the rest of my things when time and money allowed, they came in and out of my apartment whenever they felt like it, telling me they noticed I took certain things out of my apartment and asking when I was going to get the rest of it. When I called them out for this, they told me that me not staying in the apartment was a violation of my lease… which is not true. They also said that them coming and going from my apartment is not a violation of my privacy since I’m not staying there, only my stuff is staying there. All the while this is still MY APARTMENT THAT I AM PAYING FOR. You have more privacy renting a storage unit than these apartments. Then after all that they actually expected me to make the 4 hour drive back to Kansas City to return keys they can recut when they have been coming and going from my apartment as they please the whole time. Please ask good questions when signing this lease so you know what you’re getting yourself into. I have had a HORRIBLE experience here and would absolutely not recommend it to...
Read moreMy window wasn’t installed properly and wind blew the windowpane out and shattered it on my floor the second day I moved in. I made a maintenance request for it immediately but it wasn’t fixed until almost 12 months later when I listed it in my reasons for not renewing my lease. After I moved they mailed my advancement rent to the wrong address and never notified me that it had been returned to them until I reached out a month and a half after I moved out and and refused to communicate in writing and would only talk to me over the phone despite it being Labor Day weekend and I was trying to enjoy spending time with my family. This apartment could be bearable, but management makes it absolutely awful. I’m sure other people have mentioned the at least three inch wide gaps underneath the doors so even thought it’s a no smoking complex as soon as the front office closes the hallways reek of weed and the smell seeps in under your door. There was also an issue with my toilet and Del personally accused me of throwing cat litter and bottles down the toilet because there was no other possible way that the toilet would be having issues. (they didn’t even check if my dishwashers plug could reach the outlet, pardon me for not believing that they installed top...
Read moreInitially was a cute place after the renovations, but all down hill after Javier left. Like others, my daughter dealt with managers entering unannounced without even a knock. The large gaps between the doors and floor allow the scent of neighbors smoking weed to waft right into your apartment. We were charged an extra months rent following the termination of our 12 month lease which we were fortunately able to get back, but never received our security deposit upon moving out. The elevator typically worked, but was out of service for the day before and day of our move out, forcing us to carry everything down four flights of stairs. Not to mention my locked box truck was stolen from right outside the apartment the night we moved her in. Parking is a hassle and will only get worse with Mac properties building additional apartments in the area (someone hit her parked car while she was in it). New management is inexperienced and lacks basic communication skills so we...
