I went to see Brett. Walked in with a long overdue, messy head of hair; walked out cleaned up and confident. He demonstrated a genuine care and desire that I leave happy, and welcomed constructive feedback and guidance for how I wanted my hair cut. That being said, he also provided his own subtle suggestion, which I ended up liking more than my original planned cut. I also liked how he seemed to go through the cut in stages, making sure I was satisfied with what he did before moving on to the next section. Helped me feel confident and engaged in the process, even though he was doing all the work.

Besides giving a great haircut, I found Brett a fascinating individual to speak with. He retains a certain degree of wisdom about life, growth, learning, and self-improvement which created a great dialogue to pass the time while getting cut. I also learned about his endeavor of opening this new shop; it is already aesthetically pleasing - clean, bright, with warm decor, but I hear he has plans to make it even better! I loved the modern feel of the pink/neon lighting, and am excited to go back to see what updates he does.

Had some refreshments available (good stuff, too!) and a very relaxing back room where shampooing (and I’m assuming other great, hair-related stuff) happens.

All in all, definitely recommend. You can go anywhere for a decent cut; here is where you can find that, but as an elevated...

I normally hate haircuts. I have psoriasis, which makes me very self conscious, so I avoid them as long as possible.
