Post Coffee Company — Restaurant in Kansas City

Great little coffee shop that now also serves some alcohol. Not a bar by any means, but some nice, creative cocktails on the menu.

The food all seems great, sometimes the espresso could be a better quality. Just a heads up, I'm a coffee snob; so I tried to make sure I was fair in rating.

Having worked in coffee shops for many years, I enjoy ordering traditional drinks and was a bit disappointed when the espresso wasn't balanced (very acidic and under extracted; this can be caused by too much in the filter or too fine a grind) and the foam quality on the drink was mid. It didn't seem like they had dialed in the espresso since open (several hours prior).

Could've been that the shop was mid rush, could be that the shop doesn't super stress the quality of their traditional/espresso beverages. The coffee shop I used to work for, this was their (and my) #1 concern at all times. So, I am pretty heavily biased.

But, if you're not a total coffee snob, I'm sure you'll enjoy this coffee shop. They have a great vibe, quality beans, and always seem to have a new, fun drink...

Nice coffeeshop that seems to be part of a chain or group. The location was quite spacious with plenty of seating options, even booth like areas to sit and enjoy your coffee or potentially get some work done. The staff was friendly, but not super attentive during my visit, which is fine, as it was a really slow period for them. Ordered a flat white and it was served in a glass that I would usually expect, but it did seem a bit larger than what I’m used to. Nevertheless, the flat white was good, and can only nitpick about the micro foam and temp if anything. Would visit this location again if I were...

Please don't forget when you go to this coffee shop don't use there sugar because they don't have enough as I was complained to about the amount of sugar my wife was using and what ever you do please don't ask them any questions while they are standing in front of you because they want you to get up and go to the counter I have to keep my foot elevated because I have an infection don't matter get up and go to the counter I will never in life go back to the shop EVER IN LIFE. it took me in surprise about how I was treated at 65 what ever you do bypass...
