The Italia Festival was happening. The weather is sunny and 81°. It was VERY busy. The parking lots were full. Wound up parking in the grass. People were pleasant and generally patient. Families. Dogs. A very mixed crowd. Old to young. Multiple ethnicities. Multiple genders. Lots of activities. A pickle ball court. A wonderful playground with a safe play surface. Benched seating for families. Ramps. A very open feeling to the place like you'd find in Carmel Valley. CA. The shops were busy. The restaurants had lines. The bathrooms were busy. It was a very good weekend for Zona Rosa. 54 was excellent. Avocado Burger. Get the chuck brisket blend. Worth the 2.00 up charge. Smoked Gouda. Applewood bacon . The works. I ate it ALL. Read moreI visited Zona Rosa recently and I was a bit disappointed to see so many empty store fronts. It seems like this place has lost some of its charm and vitality over the years. I stopped at forever 21, I found a great sale and bought some tops for my granddaughter at $5 and $6 apiece. If you haven't been down to Zona Rosa since Xmas decorations have been put up, after dark go down and take a little walk around...
