A church which was once founded upon the truth, but has turned aside to the doctrines of men:
I marvel that you have so quickly turned from Him who called you by the gospel of grace, to another gospel which is no gospel at all. For you have exchanged the truth of God for the approval of men, and in doing so have made yourselves friends of the world and enemies of God.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you—but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Yet now, you boast in the very sins from which you were delivered. You call good what God has called evil, and you claim to love while you affirm what destroys. Have you not read that love does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth?
Return, therefore, to the word which was once delivered to you. Cleanse the leaven that corrupts the whole loaf, that you may again be a pure offering to Christ.
For God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Sow to the Spirit, and you will reap eternal life. Sow to the flesh, and you will...
Read moreWonderful church community seeking to build a more Jesus-shaped world, especially focused on loving, supporting, and affirming God's children as they believe Jesus would. I am impressed by the warmth of the church leadership and congregation. The community members have always been welcoming, even to me as a stranger in their space (I am not now, nor have I been, a member of this church).
Depending on your understanding of Jesus, God, gospel, doctrines, etc, you may not feel comfortable here. If you are looking for a place to support your condemning and hatred, this probably isn't a good place for you. If you want a community that will support you trying to hurt people, you probably shouldn't attend here. However, if you want to follow Jesus, especially as the FCC Katy community understands Jesus to have taught us to live and love, then this might be a good church home for you. Give them a try, attending with an open mind and soft heart, and see if they are a good fit for you.

Read moreThis church is at the forefront. It is a small church, and for me it’s the most honest church I have attended. It is a beacon to LGBTQ+ worshippers. However, it is a welcoming place to all. This church actually has a moral compass; it’s not actually political in nature. The church is actually fiscally conservative out of necessity. This congregation believes in humanity for humans. It’s as simple as that and I appreciate it. This belief is not limited to the LTBTQ+ community, one side of a war versus another, or the territorial limits of the United States.
Is the production value of worship high? No, this is a small church seeking to live the gospel!
Are these people followers of Christ and a community? Yes!
I have come to understand that a lot of other churches are places for musical performances with shining lights in a dark room. With performative pastors that speak with enthusiasm but don’t understand the gospel.
The thing that matters is our humanity while we are seeking or following Christ. This church has that and has the...
