RaKuu Restaurant — Restaurant in Katy

First off I want to rave about their atmosphere because the entrance is beautiful and fit for a sushi restaurant and the rest of the restaurant doesn't fall far behind. They even have nice bathrooms with nice toilet paper, not cheap stuff. I appreciate that. The staff is nice and respectful. The sushi was delicious and came out fairly quickly. I also want it to be known that this place has an abundance of food options and has a cute little kid menu as well. The pricing is pretty standard, a little on the higher side but it's quality food. We ordered edamame and 3 rolls. I always get a tiger eye roll, it was very good and then we got 2 of their specialty rolls which I have to say the rolls here are definitely more intricate than other places. We got the skai and the other roll I can't remember the name but it came with crawfish on top of it. They were all so delicious. 5/5. We had already started eating before I took pictures, because we were starving but after trying them I knew I had to take pictures for the review.

Update: I went again and I realized it takes them a long time to seat you, so I hope they fix that and learn to be...

We will definitely be coming here more often. Good customer service, clean restaurant and the food was amazing. Thanks!

📍UPDATED REVIEW 📍 Today June 4,2022 me and my husband returned here for our third visit around noon. The customer service was not the best. Our waiter was a young lady she came off as kinda nice. But she needs to work on making sure her customers are happy and satisfied. Also she didn’t fill our cups with more water. I also mentioned to her that I didn’t like my General Tso chicken and she didn’t go above and beyond to make sure if there was anything else i would want or need. She was not a good waiter at all!!!! Also she had to text the owner just to see if it was okay for me to add a side of shrimp On the side of my dish and the owner said NO! This business obviously is not aiming to please their customers at all. If I’m paying my money I want to leave any establishment happy. Today was just my last day here. 😡😡😡😡😡...

This was my second time ordering Rakuu for a work meeting. The first time wasn't so bad. This time, I placed the order online about an hour and a half before the requested pickup time. It was a pretty large order, for 9 people.. We had a 1245 pickup time, and the food wasn't ready until 1315. Our meeting was at 1300, and it was 30 minutes late arriving. My coworker was at the restaurant waiting to pick up over 30 minutes. There was one one person in FOH, one in the kitchen, and one person at the sushi bar. This is definitely not efficient staffing for lunch hour, maybe they're better prepared for dinner. The food was okay. But we won't be back due to the attitude of the guy in the front.. He kept telling us 5 more minutes for spring rolls for like 15 minutes.. When we asked to speak to a manager, there was allegedly no manager on duty. There was no apology...
