I had an appointment with them on 31 August so I did glasses and contacts the doctor prescribe me the contacts when I wore it my eyes were so irritated and red by this contact lens and I have difficulties taking them out little did I know that this contact was small when I went back she examined my eye again and then she told me that the contacts are a bit small then she prescribe a new sample which didn’t came close to a month I had to call and find out if the sample is ready to pick up then at the same day I went to pick it up I was told I need to try it on OK I try it on and I was told that doctor Mind this is a different doctor that saw me from the last time she had no idea what was going on with my eyes she kept asking me why did you change the lens I try to explain to her why that the first doctor the lens that the first doctor give me was too small on my I was very irritated and very red and take me a long time to remove it . Then the doctor Told me that I need to try it out for a week I am trying to tell her that I can’t see in these So I told her that I’m leaving and I remove it then I went outside then when I came back I ask for my paperwork to show that I was here then I’m gonna go to a different doctor so I need my file then some baldheaded guy came and he was like I’m sorry I cannot give you your file because the doctor did not sign off on my file because I refuse to wear the lens yes I refuse to wear the contacts because I can’t see in them And she doesn’t wanna listen so what I’m saying this is the worst experience So yeah and the doctor even wrote a note saying that I refused to wear the contacts that was prescribed PS I did wore that contacts for 30 minutes and And I couldn’t see!!! I’ll tell you one thing I should’ve listen when my mom said she couldn’t see with her glasses that she went to get a few months ago at the same location … so yeah that’s my experience at American Best in Kearny I wish there was a negative start to give

Now I know my prescription is low but I was told by my doctor that getting some glasses would help with my slight at times blurry vision and migraines. So I went to go see a place where I can get glasses. I saw the promotion that America’s best glasses was having so I went in and gave it a try.
I went in the place wasn’t busy at all so I decided to give it a try. I went in the front desk girls weren’t as welcoming and didn’t really try to get new customers. Furthermore I waited for a while having no one there so I can get seen the x ray tech was nice I paid extra for the extra exams which was at a low cost and it’s always better safe then sorry. Had no complains up then and there. Then I waited for the doctor she had me do some test. When I finished she really didn’t tell me much about what was wrong just said I had a slight poor vision nothing extreme and excused me. I had to ask her how my extra exams came out she said it was okay then I asked why is that I get some headaches at times when I am in bright light areas for a long time. She said it could just be the activities or what I have eaten depends on what I did that day is what causes my migraine pain. I just agreed to it and went to see the types of glasses they carry. I didn’t get help till about 15min after I already picked out the glasses they were just all sitting around talking. Then I got helped now the lady who helped me pick out glasses was nice. No complains with her. Then I went to do my order with her and I was told to get the anti glare so it can help me with the bright light situation. So I purchase it. I finally got my glasses back today after a week and half and I feel like I got ripped off on my glasses. I was here thinking I would get the glasses where they turn dark when in bright areas or at least help me with the glare I personally don’t see a change . I’m not so pleased with my glasses even though I have a low prescription I don’t think the glasses help at all.
In the end if you want to purchase glasses for help on anti glare or bright areas this isn’t the place to go I would suggest to go somewhere else with more experience staff. Also the cases there transparent and not even a cloth to clean the glasses . I mean I guess you get what...
Read moreToday, September 2nd, I had an appointment at 10:40 a.m. They called me the day before to confirm my attendance, which I confirmed. Hours before my appointment, I received a message asking me to fill out a form with my information. The problem was that when I was on my way to the place I got stuck in traffic and I was late to my appointment, when I arrived, the receptionist (tall, and curly hair) asked me about my appointment and I confirmed the time, but she told me that my appointment had been canceled because I had not answered “multiple” calls that had been made to me, I asked her when they had been because I had not had any calls besides the one from the day before, I showed her my call log and she said ohhh it was yesterday at 10:08 and 10:09 and I told her I answered the 10:09 call and confirmed my attendance, I even filled out the form they sent me and rudely she told me that I had not answered her calls and she can’t attend me because I was late, that they only gave me 10 minutes of grace. The entire time she answered rudely and with no desire to help me, knowing there were only 4 customers in the store (IT WASN'T FULL). I told her no worries, forget it I’ll go to another store. When I left the store, they called me on the phone saying they had space to attend me (in this case, I think it was her colleague who called me). If it's about customer service, I do not recommend this store. And the thing is, I'm not paying $10. I'm a person who, due to my visual condition, must pay more than $600 for just a pair of glasses.
