ALDI — Attraction in Keene

I stopped by Aldi before opening my store, as usual, to purchase meat for my meat sauce. After selecting the meats, I went to the cash register to pay. I had cash on me and had forgotten my credit card at home, so I could not use the self-checkout. There was a green light and an “open” sign on the cash register, along with a note indicating that an associate would be back shortly.

I began to wait. Other customers lined up behind me, and we all waited for quite some time. Eventually, one customer gave up and went to the self-checkout. After a long wait, I started looking for an associate. When one finally arrived, I calmly and quietly mentioned that I needed to open my store and had been looking for assistance.

The associate, Anna, responded by rolling her eyes and saying, “You should come earlier then.” Her tone was very rude and loud, rather than apologetic. I asked her to repeat herself, and she did so, adding that I could complain to her boss as she had been helping an elderly customer. I asked for her name, which she gave, and she advised me to speak to her boss, again in a very rude and loud manner.

I have never seen Anna before; she must be new. The manager of the Keene Aldi is always nice to people. I told her there was no need to escalate the situation further as I would be writing a review. She retorted that she would review me too, blaming me for waiting at the open cash register for so long.

Her behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional, ruining my morning before work. It is important to train associates to treat customers with politeness...

We came to this location for the first time and wow they keep this store super neat, clean, organized. Such a great shopping experience here tonight. We found everything we needed.

You park, go to the front of the entrance and you will need a quarter to unlock their carts if you need one.

Simply go inside start shopping, soon as your done go to the front register and you will need to find an empty cart so you can transfer all of your items from one cart to the next after they have been successfully rung up.

Once your done checking out at the register you head over to the countertop which is there for you to unload all your items. Before you unload you need to find empty boxes to put all of your groceries in.

Here at Aldi they do not use grocery bags , no shopping bags. You can bring your own bags if you wish, the reusable shopping bags might be perfect.

Load all of your items up and head to your vehicle and load up and go.

We like to pay for the cart and leave one unlocked for the next person. Usually you will find one unlocked and waiting to be used so if you do put a quarter into the next one please it's a. Common form of courtesy for all avid shoppers who come here often.

Best egg prices in town. We shop here at least once a week and typically they have the cheapest prices for a dozen large Grade A eggs of the stores we shop at. Being as the company was founded and is still headquartered in Germany, they always get some interesting German foods in for Oktoberfest. But you don't have to wait for Oktoberfest to find german foods in the store. I wish they'd sell the Deutsche Kuche wieners year round instead of for a short period in the summer as we enjoy these hot dogs. Also wish they'd sell their sparkling spiced pumpkin cider year round instead of in the fall, chill that in the fridge for at least a day or two and I have a hard time not finishing off the bottle in one sitting. My biggest gripe right now is that they seem to have stopped selling thier brand of chicken and dumplings. They need to be doctored really to be decent, but we have to go to Brattleboro to get their chicken dumplings as I haven't seen it in Keene...
