After my doctor diagnosed me with hyper mobility, I was telling the trainer (Chris) at Planet Fitness in Keene about it & his response was to tell me it's not true, get a second opinion. This guy doesn't even have a college degree (went to community college) and seriously tried to tell me that my own doctor was wrong. One of the girls who works at the front desk told us "pre workout is your best friend." Pre workout is a supplement that has more caffeine than several cups of coffee. Caffeine has many negative health effects, especially for people (like my husband) who already have excess amounts of negative/nervous energy. Some members get special treatment from certain people who work there, treatment that can very easily be interpreted as inappropriate and the owner of the franchise, Shane Poirier, DEFENDS this special treatment. Kate at the front desk told my husband "stay hard or stay home" - so I guess if guys don't have an erection they shouldn't go to this particular location (Shane Poirier also defended this comment by his employee). We were also told to "Bust your ass!" According to Shane Poirier, that statement does NOT include profanity (I can't help but wonder how "bust your ass" would go over if a child said...
Read moreSet the scene, had canceled my membership in October, due to personal reasons, decided to rejoin in March on a “renew three months free” promo. Everything was great till I got logged out of the app and lost the member number to log back in. No problem just call and get it back right? Wrong! Called and I haven’t been a member since October, what?! Well I’m still being charged now, so how do we fix that? Nope you’re not a member contact our billing department, did that, same story. Finally contacted my bank to stop all payments taken directly from my account. Month goes by. Look at my account again and NOW they’re charging my debit card instead of taking it out directly. Not only that double charging for my OLD black card membership and now the newer base membership. NEVER give them your banking information. The gym itself is nice and clean but not worth the added stress and hassle of everything else. I’ll stick with the YMCA for the same...
Read moreThe gym is nice, but the upper-management is corrupt. They like to express otherwise, but it really is a superficial cover-up. The workers' put up a good facade as well, but most of them sound like they would rather work anywhere else but that gym location, if there was any opportunity to. But they would never express that in fear of injustice termination. The club manager has no back-bone, meanwhile the regional manager uses her power to intimidate and manipulate her employees into unfair circumstances or shifts. All in the meanwhile keeping her false professional composure. Any original thought, not made up by her it sounds like, is shot down and dismissed at the very least. It is truly shallow and pathetic. It is not surprising that the unemployment rate at this location is drastically rising. Most likely due to the ludicrous management. Hopefully the gym owner will soon realize this and make...
