Was a regular shopper here for quite a while but over the past 2 months they have been horrible about keeping items in stock. The online website does not match up with what they have in store. One time dragged my 3 month old out to purchase 4 items that were on sale. Checked on their app to see if they were in stock before going out, only to be disappointed by them being sold out of all 4 items. About a month ago, I tried again to purchase some planner items but they were sold out of the items I needed. I asked an associate if they were going to be getting the items back in or if they were going to stop carrying them, the shelves were that empty! She told me that they will be getting more in they just didn't know when. She told me I could order online. The problem was I couldn't when Michaels gets in low stock items are unavailable for order online so that was the case here. Several things I wanted were not available for purchase online. And OMG it is hard to find someone to help you most of the time. I try not to go during busy time (weekends, late) but with a kid there sometimes is no other option. Last week I thought to try one last time to purchase the planner and planner items I wanted. There were still empty shelves and minimal product. Of the 3 items I was looking for, yep, you guessed it, all 3 were sold out (2 of the items show in stock on their app). I do not know why this location cannot seem to keep their shelves stocked, I ventured out to another Michaels while across town and they had the items I was looking for. Read moreI ran into Michael's this morning to grab some Mum ribbon for my daughter and a few other items for her mum I stood in line for over 20 minutes they had one girl running the register and I saw four men running around the store not helping. When I got up to the register I told the girl I needed some ribbon to be cut she told me she's not qualified I said okay she called the manager the manager let her know that he was in the back cutting ribbon so I waited a gentleman walked up and I asked him are you here to cut ribbon he said sure I showed him the ribbon he disappears off to the back a few moments later the manager comes up and cuts my ribbon. It was total chaos this morning I thought that because it was early nobody would be there I was very wrong. Michaels needs to do better they need more people at the front instead of in the back running around sweeping the floor. That poor girl was so overwhelmed but she was so sweet she was not rude at all she kept apologizing mind you it wasn't her fault it's the company's fault for having her at the front by herself the manager saw she had more than five people every time he looked up and he never once came to help her open a register to get the line down when I left there was more than nine people behind me yes self checkout does work but when people are getting balloon orders when they need ribbon cut when they're doing returns when they have gift cards you can't do that on self-checkout. Read moreWe went in with 2 pieces of art that we purchase in Colorado at an art gallery for my birthday. One was lost and the other is all dented up now. Was told the frame was damaged when they received it back from their supplier. No one knows where the other piece is and the packaging I brought both items in with is missing as well. As soon as the phone call came in saying we are reordering your frame for you single piece of artwork I was very concerned and asked about the other piece and they said that was damaged also. An associate called back at a later time and said we walked in with so much art work when we came in that I must have forgotten to leave it. We had 2 pieces of art work that were exactly the same measurements when we went in and nothing else. After this we went up to the location and asked for both pieces of art to be given back to us and asked for a complete refund for services. 1 was received back with dents in it and the other can not be found. We were told a manager would contact us the following day and here we are at the end of the day today with no contact being made by management. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment to say the least. Do not go here as it is highly difunctional and they seem to blame the customer and make excuses for mishandling people’s art work.
