The seats were upgraded a few years ago. They are relatively comfortable. Lines for concessions may seem long, but they get people through fairly quickly. Each employee knows that movies have gotten expensive and in my experience, have gone the extra mile to accommodate their guests. The area is clean as are the individual theaters. Each theater has an "open" feeling... Multiplexes are not even close to the cramped experiences I had when I was a kid. Tuesdays are as busy as the weekends with discounted movie tickets and half priced popcorn. Each vendor handles ticket sales in addition to selling popcorn, candy, food items and pop... I like that feature. I don't get the idea of adding a surcharge for those who buy their tickets in advance using the app or website. Prices are high, but are actually quite a bit cheaper than theaters in the bigger cities south and north of us. $30-$40 a person is about what you are going to spend. This includes the price of the ticket, a shared popcorn, your own drink and candy.. Discounts and other perks are offered in the Regents Club... Which doesn't cost anything to join and the points rack up quickly -- use points for drink and popcorn upgrades as well as free...
Read moreHavent been to the movies in quite a while so decided to take the family +1 out to a movie... as if $90 in tickets to see a movie isn't already enough to deal with.. Of course you need some over priced popcorn and soda and candy to go with it.. so when doing so I was kind of like ok.. what's the best deal for 5?? So the lady said blah blah blah but this one is 2 bags of candy and unlimited popcorn and drinks.. ok.. sold! Another $40.. We refilled the popcorn once and then tried to get a refill at the end since no one wanted to go during the movie.. everyone being thirsty.. and then the employee (Jordyn) said it wasn't refillable.. I was like uhhh? That's not what I was told.. or how it was sold to me.. I mean that was the reason I bought it.. anyway instead of just doing what would of been the right thing.. Jordyn refused the refill.. while asking me who said it was unlimited? Like it was my job to keep track..I didn't want it to be an issue so I just said forget it.. and walked away I mean really $130 and it goes sideways over a soda refill..?? Super dissapointed. Probably vancouver next time for us.. thank you Jordyn.. for the horrible customer...
Read moreI very much like how Regal runs it's programs for monthly subscribers to the crown clubs membership users, you save lots of money, such as $5.00 tickets to any regular movie with crown club card, which the Regal app will provide you. It offers regular users with stereotypical movies atmosphere though. If you are part of the crown you get premium, but if you aren't the prices sky rocket to the point if you want snacks during a movie you'd be better off buying their services and then buying what you wanted at the discount. Such things like $20 before tax for a tub of popcorn, which with their premium monthly services cost you little to nothing, to me it seems like Regals move for funding the membership low prices, is to charge large and overpriced for those that don't want to be members. I'd expect the "members" for the crown club to dwindle as they'll have to pay more as regular non club members stop showing up in favor of the much cheaper streaming services at home. This might be a Review, but if anybody with power at Regal sees this, let this be the wake up call. High prices will drive...
