Upon entry with my husband, while there was a family ahead of us at the screen where they ask you to place your order (I'm assuming due to short staffing, though three grown men were standing nearby, apparently frozen in time or turned to stone). I asked Joseph, the gentleman who served us, what the code for the bathroom was (as I was obviously a customer, waiting in line) and I was told the code was (going to be at the bottom of my receipt). I understand you don't want random tourists coming in to use your restroom without purchasing from your business. I respect that. But my husband can't order for my family while I run to the restroom? Bad business model and bad attitude. If that wasn't short enough of a response, after ordering a $20 lunch from his business, I asked him "where on this long receipt will I find the 'bathroom code'?" And without even looking at me, abruptly answered "you'll find it at the bottom. Next customer please!" Basically raising his voice, calling the next person, even though I was still standing Infront of him... And they weren't even that busy. It's Monday in the outer banks... Slow down, buddy. Extremely rude!!! We will never be back and we will be discouraging our friends from going as well. We are also business owners. It's a shame to see someone so disrespectful and short with a customer. He obviously didn't want to deal with us at all. If he ever came to me, looking for a job, I'd advise one where he not be working near, for, or around any other human beings. Beyond rude. Again, his name is Joseph (I assume, due to the name on the receipt). It is my anniversary and I'm just getting a slice of pizza after spending the morning at the beach with my husband, and you ruined my entire day. Thank you. Later "bro". The Better Business Bureau WILL be getting...
Read moreUpdate: 1/7/2021 ' the pizza is still the Best I've ate anywhere on the beach...I always love the Chicago style cheese deep dish, and they Did Not let me down, still delicious perfection, the price was good, probably better if I had mentioned I was local, for they did have a local discount, not sure if they still do?? But I'd still order from them, I asked my pizza not be cooked totally thru, and I thank them for adhering to my wishes, because I live in Manteo, my pizza will need to be reheated, with the Slice restaurant doing at my request of not cooking totally thru, I get my pizza at home, in the oven for 7minutes and perfection like it was just baked from them.. so thank you.. to all who may doubt " Slice Restaurant " don't, they really are ( from a locals point of view" The BEST ON THE BEACH") . So keep supporting your local businesses, and to all, dont forget, they need to make a living too,so tip at the least 20% they really do deserve it..and to Slice, keep up the great work and delicious pizza""..I have always said this place definitely has the best pizza on the beach, and though it can be crowded at times, it's well worth the wait. Don't forget they have local discount, which I appreciate since most places don't Care that it's your locals to keep them busy off-season. So thank you And keep up...
Read moreHad the opportunity to get some pizza from the Slice Pizzeria while on vacationing at the Outer Banks. Most of the family, consisting of the wife and I, with both kids and all 3 grandkids wanted Little Caesars. The wife and I decided on Slice. We ordered then went one way to get the LC pizza, then went the other way to Slice. A big wreck, which looked like was at the intersection at the Wright Brothers Memorial had traffic backed up for a ways. We turned down a side road to go around and of course, so did EVERYBODY else, it looked like, and ran into lots of traffic. Took us about a half hour to get there, then another half hour or more to get back, we were only about a half mile away, so it was a bit cold when we got back. Didn't stop me a bit from digging in because it looked AMAZING, pepperoni, half ham, half mushroom. It was still delicious. The kids got upset with us when we didn't let them have any. Hey, THEY wanted Little Caesar's, they got Little Caesars. We didn't eat it all, but we saved it and are the rest later. The only problem I saw with it was that we decided to order pizza the last night there, when we should have been ordering it every day we were there. Will definitely go back the next time...
