This review is for the Smoothie king located at 2200 E Central Expy, the corner of W.S.Young, behind Shipley's Donuts in the same parking lot. I pulled up to drive through at 8:42pm, which No one acknowledged me after I repeatedly said hello and Although I arrived fairly close to the 9pm closing time, that does not justify the poor quality of service I received. I drove forward to the window at about 8:45pm and didn’t see anyone and as I drove off slowly confused, I observed an employee peeking from behind the register, presumably hiding as if I would drive away thinking that they were closed. I then parked my car and went inside to confirm if the hours had changed and just wasn’t updated online. Three workers emerged confirming that they were indeed still open and by the looks on their face, I knew my suspicions were correct. I get it, people want to get off work on time vs having to stay over for some last minute cleanup, however sometimes that’s apart of the job. Also, Service has been unpleasant lately and I’ve been patient knowing they are in the process of training new employees, however I frequent the establishment multiple times a week and the overall quality has severely declined, especially the presentation, quality and customer service. I did not catch any of the 3 workers names tonight, nor do I know how long they have been employed with smoothie King, however, if this is the type of service that they are going to continue to provide then I will take my business else where. I hear Tropical Smoothie is better and healthier with a variety of options to include food along with great customer service. Not only were they hiding, but they clearly had no intention on making anything else because they had already cleaned up everything and they just threw together my order in a rush. All 3 should find other employment if they don’t l Iike providing quality customer service. See...
Read moreDidn’t answer while still open. I had pulled up to the drive through window while Smoothie King was still open based off their stated hours. I waited for a moment. I then started speaking at the speaker to no response. I had a hunch no one was going to answer. I drove around, and sure enough, two employees were cleaning, one person was aimlessly walking around. As I completed leaving the drive through, I saw an employee (clearly saw the red Smoothie King t-shirt) sitting in their car on their phone. Were they off of work? Possibly, no idea. But people where there, but they were pulling the McDonalds broken ice cream machine bit. Whoever runs that location has horrible management and/or business practices. If you’re not going to serve during your operating hours, update your operating hours. People drive out to give you hard earned money for a service. This is basic capitalism 101, we’re talking about here. This isn’t rocket science, you blend various drinks, pour it into a cup, and...
Read moreI’m allergic to normal milk. I always get the same exact smoothie. The last THREE times I’ve bought this I’ve had to turn around because they split the almond and non-fat milk, etc. I make sure to triple check when ordering “did you take out the normal milk and only almond milk is in there?” Yes. Then i come back and they fix it.
I went back today for the wrong one and the cashier proceeded to argue with me that she entered it in right and showed me that it won’t show on the receipt. Fine - I’ll give you that (even though i work for fast food and everything taken out or added is put on the receipt). But you NEVER argue with the customer OR show attitude when representing a company. The LEAST they could’ve done was remake it. But no - i just got stared at. Lost a good a customer...
