Beyond the shadow of a doubt WORST MALL I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!
At some point in its history this mall had its heyday, I recall. But returning to this area some 20-30 yrs later you wouldn't EVEN think that!
Customers stroll around its interior just out of pure boredom wondering what else is there to do! Some customers appear to be enjoying a meal or company of friends but even the friends look bored! EGADS! Is all I could think! How truly sickening from an industry point of view.
JC Penny's with its slew if financial issues in years past WILL NOT & CANNOT save this sinking ship of a behemoth sized property! Same goes for the now fledgling SEARS stores! So what does the future for this mall entail? THINK TITANIC.
IF.....IF mall management diesn't get their heads screwed on right and stop prancing around like gilded lily's in a dying forest this mall will most assuredly continue to FAIL in bringing in increased profits for the next 10 yrs at least! Then it will cave!
Having been a retail specialist for decades it seems + with my Management Consulting/Marketing/Advertising/P.R. & Sales background & education I surely see how to not only revive this mall and make it a truly profitable center of Kingsport but I also see how to make it a most favorite 'to die for' destination in every family in this REGION. But considering I am not in touch with management and retired that is not likely to occur. So management best get some 'new blood' and put their 'crusty, stodgy old management style to bed......permanently.
The current roster of businesses is clearly not nearly adequate for the needs of today's customer base at this mall or even in nearby malls. Heck, THE PINNACLE at least has the right idea going with some mistakes of course. But for now, they're raking in the dough!
Hey, management! C'yah...
Read moreThe Mall of which I shopped several stores, and I highly recommend to others the following stores - Bath and Body, Spencers, Claire's, and JC Penny's. I wish I could fully recommend F.Y.E however due to the very rude outright beyond hateful, doesn't like customers to ask her for help manager I just can't give this store 5 stars. However, the staff aside from the manager at this location are amazing and I've to say that they are the only reason I go when I need to. If the manager is there I will leave! I've called as well as emailed the district manager about the outright rudeness of the manager of this location, and he done nothing very obviously as said manager is still there, and still very unkind as well as still very rude to customers! Victoria Secret is another store in the Fort Henry Mall that I can't recommend due to some of the staff allowing their personal lives to interfere with them doing their job as a professional. As one employee actually had several fellow employees to harass certain people, and literally had them tell them to find another location to shop at! Seriously!? Your private and personal life isn't something any employee should ever bring to their place of business as well as have other employees tell other people to not come in that location due to another's personal drama that shouldn't be brought to their place of employment! All in all I can highly recommend the Fort Henry Mall to all, but I'm not going to lie about certain stores, and things that shouldn't be allowed by employees of the certain stores inside mentioned above....
Read moreI'm not a fan of the Kingsport Mall, but the All-Star Nails is always the best place to get Nails done! David(chair 11) ALWAYS amazes me with his handy work! Also, Harry does a great job as well! Not once have I left the business unpleased! I'm EXTREMELY happy with my nails 💅 every time! I do however want to point out that I asked David(chair 11) to do me a huge favor! On the new pictures just added about 4 days ago, I had the Ombre put on, and my ring fingers have a special Sparkling Blue design on them! The blue design is very special to me because it marks a journey I was going through with my wonderful husband, Shannon James Dunford, but unfortunately, our journey was cut short on 11/18/2023. My husband, Shannon passed away on 11/18/23 from Stage 3 Brain Cancer and Stage 4 Lung Cancer. The Blue design is one of the 3 pieces that when my husband had Brain Surgery on May 26, 2023, to remove a tumor/mass that was causing the whole right side of his body to completely be numb and unable to function, the doctor used the pieces to reattach his skull that they removed, back on. I want to remember and show my love for him in any way I can, and with the design on my ring finger, I'm able to carry him with me, and look at my fingers and know I have him with me! I miss him so bad! Thank you,...
