What a great little park! There are several ways to take the trail. There's parking along NE 100th St and an entrance just east of the fire station, or an entrance down by the corner of 100 St and 128th Avenue NE and one just a few feet from the big, castle playground. The trail that leads from the covered shelter by the fire station, South down to the large playground, is wonderful! There are lots of long bridges that wind through a swampy area that is host to birds, dragonflies, and all kinds of critters. The end of that trail comes right out by the large playground. The area is paved, except for the wooden bridges, and an easy and fascinating walk for either little ones or elderly. North area of the trails is also a great area for picnics! What a beautiful, hidden, little gem!

Magical local park offering a castle themed play structure that’s perfect for hide-and-go seek and imaginative play. Structure includes big kid and toddler options. Huge bonus is that the play structures are fully fenced in with the exception of the castle bridge entrance. Woodlands Park (aka Castle Park) includes several paved walking paths bridged together by wooden boardwalks through wetlands. Enter the park off of NE 100th Street and you’ll pass the large gazebo on your way to the playground. Off of 128th is a mini tot lot playground for the very little ones. Best places to park to experience any of these features are street side on 100th or 95th. Minimal parking available. No bathroom; several months out of the year there’s a porta-potty near the playground.

Fairly big, very beautiful park. Seating benches, many fun activities throughout the park including slides and climbers and a large grass field to play in as well. My only complaint would be there’s no parking very near the vicinity. Parking takes place on a street around back and you walk .3 miles through the woods (on a very nicely paved path) to get to the park. For someone like my dad, that’s too far to go due to a previous injury. Because of this I deducted one star.
