Delicious. Cannot say enough good things. Great for vegans and vegetarians -- and omnivores who are timid about eating plant-based meals. The menu is diverse and accommodating. Food is fresh, tasty, delicious, healthy. Service is outstanding. If you are on a plant-based diet, this place makes it easy to get great food...full of flavor...my favorite dishes include the salt & pepper tofu, which is crunchy, flavorful and satisfying. Could eat it all day. The pineapple fried rice is served in a pineapple, and is the perfect blend of salty and sweet. And the Mongolian beef tastes like the real thing. The broccoli is perfectly cooked in all dishes -- crunchy yet cooked enough to carry all of the unctuous sauces in its florets. The jasmine tea has an unparalleled fragrance. The booths are comfortable, cozy and private. This place is wonderful, and if you value healthy eating, please support this restaurant. This is my go-to place for healthy...
Read moreI wish Veggie Life was open when I still lived in Kirkland! The restaurant is clean, well-lit, and is also kosher (certificate is clearly posted)! You do need a phone to scan the QR code for the menu though.
The food is all vegan, and I confirmed this as I’m allergic to eggs and dairy. We had broccoli beef (faux beef), sweet and sour lotus root, and delicious corn soup. The broccoli beef was very good with just enough sauce, and the ratio of beef and broccoli was perfect. The sweet and sour lotus root was also excellent! It was crunchy and flavorful without being greasy. This place is reminiscent of the Tea Pot in Redmond, but much, much less greasy, and everything is very fresh and not overcooked. We spent about ~$55-ish for two mains, a soup, two sides of rice, and hot tea. It’s not bad price-wise, and on-par with other area restaurants, and well...
Read moreI ordered the signature dried tofu that comes with carrots, lotus root, and red bell peppers and snow pea. I got a different dish when I complained. I heard the chef arguing with the waitress in Chinese. I was told they would remake my dish. Two minutes later they brought back the same dish and added 3 lotus root slices. I think the chef didn’t want to remake it. It was a terrible experience and vegetables that I couldn’t eat. I will not be back because on top of everything else there was an ant crawling on my plate. I smashed it and left it on the table. Terrible...
