This was my first time getting a haircut in a barber shop since 2008. After signing in on the paper at the front, I waited about 20 minutes (4 people ahead of me) and was seated.
I showed Sofia the haircut I've had prior, and asked for some alterations to it. She showed me in the mirror where she was going to cut my bangs, and asked clipper size for the side fade I asked for.
She then got to work, professionally and artistically clipping and shaving my hair to exactly what I asked for, even taking professional ideas and integrating them into my haircut that I had not known I needed.
After the haircut, she showed me and said "it will look better gelled, would you like gel?" And then styled my hair showing me how it looked with product. I was amazed at how well it was done. I was prepared to pay then, but instead she turned me back around and started shaving the back of my neck, using product and cleanser with a short razer to make me look even more professional. After this, she applied a calming essence oil and massaged my traps, neck, and upper part of my neck relieving some muscular stress I had there. THEN she took a hot towel and applied it to my neck and face, even rubbing my ears and cheeks with the towel.
I feel very happy with the service provided. For 45 dollars plus tip, I felt confident and excited to be in public with my new trim.
I will definitely recommend this place to others, as well as have Sofia cut my hair...
Read moreI asked for a mid fade and they pretty much gave me a buzz cut with a toupee on the top. I look like a bird on top of that. I paid $50 to pretty much get my hair ruined. I told the barber exactly what I wanted and the barber did not do it. Yes, hair goes back but listen to your customers when they tell you and stop doing what you think looks best and do what your customer wants. When I had let him know that you pretty much shaved the sides off my head I wanted a mid fade not a high high fade with a buzz cut with a little bit of hair on top. Then he said no that doesn’t look good. It looks Ugly. When I’m telling you, my barber what I want from my haircut. He goes against what I say. I just don’t Understand. He also got me a picture of what fades look like and he did not do anything close to what the pictures of fades look like. The mid fade is supposed to be a taper up. Not a buzz cut on the side all the way up. If you’re just looking for like fresh cut and stuff like that, probably good place. If you’re looking for a fade, it’s not a good place. There’s a guy that I don’t know if he still works here. His name is true if he is still there that...
