I've never been to an Ulta salon and unfortunately, my first time will also be my last. I was booked for a cut, full highlight, and color with Britt but she added a $25 Olaplex treatment without asking. I didn't request it so buyer beware of shady practices like this to increase their commissions.
My hair looked okay when I left the salon but all of the cut's flaws were exposed at home. I asked for soft layers and provided a reference photo but received what looks like a short wig over long hair due to lack of any blending. I have been in tears since I left the salon this afternoon. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon, my hair is ruined and cannot possibly be corrected. I asked for heavy highlights which I have been getting for years. I showed the stylist Brittany the color that I wanted my highlights to be toned using a photo of my own hair! She lightened my entire head. I voiced that I was unhappy with it because it wasn’t blended well when she finished there were patchy spots and it looked nothing like it ever had before. She immediately had an attitude and blamed my grow out but the problem was the pattern…she didn’t do highlights like I requested she lightened ALL of my hair. She then offered to fix it so I tried to give her a chance which was a mistake. She proceeded to put lightener on my roots which wasn’t even the area of my hair I was unhappy with (I know when you get highlights your roots and natural hair show through which is what I wanted) now I have an orange base with light blonde mixed in. My natural color is completely gone, It’s horrendous and I can’t fix it.
And, as if this wasn’t bad enough, when I went to pay the ticket showed that Brittany charged me for two other services besides my “highlights” and cut. I was charged for two things I was never consulted about nor informed were being done. I will say the girls working at the checkout were very kind and offered to get a manager for me but I declined because I was crying and embarrassed in public. Also Brittany the attitude she had and the way she was treating me after I voiced I was unhappy made me hesitant and afraid to speak up anymore at the time. I will be returning tomorrow to speak...
Read moreI was pretty disappointed with my visit today. I was purchasing an item that Target did not have when I went. The item was more expensive at Ulta but I decided to just go ahead and purchase since it was available. The cashier rang up my items and the price was a dollar more. She rang up my coupon and when I asked about the price she said I got a dollar off with the coupon so it was okay. I tried to explain that I want to use my coupon on the correct price not get the correct price using the coupon. She went and checked the price and then asked the manager (after she told me it might show that price because of tax, which is just incorrect). Her manager went and looked at where the product was lined up on the shelf with multiple of the same in a line. The manager then told us it was the wrong product and that mine was in fact a dollar more. I said okay, why are they all behind the wrong price. He was very rude and then started reorganizing the shelf...because the items were in fact behind the wrong price. The cashier seemed mad at me even though I was very polite and just trying to understand the difference in price. All the other customers were getting free gifts along with their purchases and treated so nicely but when I ask to check the price of something I was treated like I was a bad person.
