This library is decent & mediocre but they have lots of low lives, idiotic individuals & the most backward ass patrons coming in & out of there. Most of these patrons who go in & out of this library are negative, hostile, inconsiderate, rude & disrespectful. This is why I hate coming to this library it's because of the atmosphere & surrounding environment of idiots you have to tolerate & constantly put up with. Other than that you have people who are supposed to be helping you with computer questions & whenever you need their help or assistance they stick around until you figure it out but if you have more questions or need more assistance they leave & spend more time sitting on their ass. & then it's the inconvenience of having to get up & constantly require their service to help you out instead of constantly walking away & sitting down & not doing much of anything besides...
Read moreHi, My mother and I visited the Downtown Kokomo Library on 2/15/2024 to get copies of my brother's obituary laminated. I was DELIGHTED to have met Ben, and appreciated everything he did for us, from guiding us thru the laminating process to his sincere sympathy for our loss. He was also gracious to explain other services they provided like converting old VHS tapes to CD's or copying them to a flash drive. In this world of lacking customer service, I felt that the customer service from Ben was by far the best I have encountered in years. I personally have been in customer service my entire life and know what it means to treat people with respect and that's exactly how I was treated by Ben. I do wish there were more books by the authors I'd like to try out, but recognize that this would be a space issue; they are more than happy to find and request materials through alternate libraries, as well.
