I took my daughter as a surprise daddy/daughter day. I brought a piece I have been wanting to paint and bought her a platter. I mentioned to the worker I had an outside piece and we would both be painting. I paid the studio fee for the both of us. We put in our paint needs and sat down with the piece next to me. only after she finally brought my paint did she say I couldn't paint it. Fair enough except I told her BEFORE I paid. I decided it was pointless to sit for an hour while my daughter painted and I couldn't. I decided to paint our pieces at home. the worker stopped us like we were shoplifting telling us we couldn't leave with the piece I BOUGHT for my daughter. I said fine, give me my money back and she said no you already painted on it. at this point she was getting extremely rude and illogical and I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to the owner and had to again argue the point that I paid for the piece and I was taking unless they gave me the money back. She finally gave up after making her point multiple times that I could not bring it back to be fired which I told her I did not care about. This whole exchange really upset my daughter. Way to focus on your "company policy" as the worker stated and not on the customer. Way to ruin a family...
Read moreFirst time going and i had so much fun! We had a group of 4 and went during the weekday! It does take longer than you'd think it does! We were there for 3½ hours and didn't even notice how long we'd been there cause it was so much fun. If it's your first time going, you just pick out whatever you want to paint on from the shelves, and then go pay for it at the counter. Pick anywhere you wanna sit and then you'll get to pick your color palette for your project! I got a small bowl and I believe it was $20 after tax. I takes about a week for you to get your piece back.
Added some before and afters of my bowl so you could see the color difference. When you're painting the colors are lighter than they'll turn out once they're fired! Don't worry there's a chart on the tables to show you what the color...
Read moreFired Arts Studio is AWESOME! The atmosphere is relaxing, the selection of pottery and mosaics is wonderful and very affordable. Fired Arts is located inside Mo Joes Coffee Shop, which is wonderful in and of itself, which allows for fantastic drink and food selections. While I was there, the place was literally packed. Dyrk was cheerful and welcoming, was able to keep up with the crowd, and kept up with those of us that needed additional paint, brushes, etc. He was amazing and a big part of why our experience was so wonderful. I would recommend this experience for date night, friend outings, or for families who are looking for something family friendly to do. You...
