Comics Cubed — Local services in Kokomo

Went to get some information on some of the comics that I have from the early to mid 90s of Spider-Man. Not being a collector, all the comics that I have are in clear covers and in pretty good condition for the 90s. I was kind of excited I thought maybe that I had had something or at least something interesting enough to look at. Unfortunately, the guy behind the counter had a less than interested attitude and approach towards inspecting the comics. It took him 15 seconds to inspect 30 comics in sleeves. I wish he would have been a little more enthusiastic or at least slightly interested in what I had. This definitely is a deterrent from returning with other finds. Although I'm sure his knowledge is great in the area of comics, he's doesn't seem too interested in getting somebody else excited about comics. I rarely frequent comic shops (and I'm sure it shows to employees thereof), but I was treated very nice at Comics Cubed. Free comics day is probably the worst for a flood of unfamiliar people and the store left in disarray, but the staff was helpful without being pushy.

I enjoyed bundles for a good deal in the back of the store. 4 and 6 volume sets bundled for a low price made for a great quantity over quality gift! There was a large selection of used and new comics for what appeared to be a small shop. There's an efficient use of space to be sure.

This feels like the old shops kids would hang out at before the default became digital reading. I still saw a handful of what must be regulars of varying ages. The employees' knowledge of what was in stock or when it would be was also impressive.

This is a great shop if you're around Kokomo and want to get lost...

I will be honest. I was the weird kid at school and comics were not cool and superhero’s were lame at the time. I was made fun of and teased for being interested in superhero movies and comic books. But after school all I could think of was what does Shawn have on the shelf today?! What is new?! When I discovered comics cubed I discovered a safe place where I could be myself and geek out. For me Comics Cubed is like Cheers, you walk in and everybody knows your name. You feel at home, and you’re surrounded by great people. Honestly could not ask for a better comic book store.
