I hate being negative, however I don't want anyone else to have this to happen to them. We wanted something special done for our 10th wedding anniversary.
I brought three 14k gold rings and two 10k gold rings to trade for a little jewelry work. FIVE gold rings in total.
I needed my wedding ring sized down, my husband's wedding ring sized up, a new mother's ring designed from gemstones I provided, and Most importantly I wanted some new design changes upgrades made to my wedding ring. His wife took everything, advising the value of the five gold rings would cover the work I was asking for. She told me the jeweler would call me directly to work up the new mother's ring design-- And most importantly to talk about the changes I had in mind for my wedding ring.
That phone call never happened.
He removed the gold swirling leaves from my wedding ring's filigree placement altogether!! He crafted a silver band to fit around my ring-- which only fits because the main settling was all cut up!
This was not at all what I wanted done... but how would they know what I wanted done? There was never any promised discussion about the design before just chopping up my wedding ring.
He didn't call me. No communication whatsoever.
He took the gem stones I provided for a mother's ring, and put them sloppily in a silver setting and attached them to a silver band. All silver again. They never called about that ring's design either.
He did not size up my husband's ring... I think it was actually sized down (?).
They took 5 gold rings and then sent me a bill for $510(?).
When I received the texted bill, i attempted to call them again. I did not understand how any of the design work was decided upon... and that the FIVE gold rings they took at the beginning of the transaction was supposed to have been valuable enough to cover the work.
He finally called me back, and told me to just come pick up my stuff and he wasnt going to do anything else.
He waived the charges for the custom changes that we never asked for (or discussed beforehand) BUT kept ALL FIVE of the gold rings I had wanted to trade with. I gave him 5 gold rings and received 2 silver rings in return.
He was rude, didn't try to work with me, he ripped me off, ruined my wedding ring, and would not even talk to me to come to an agreement. He is a thief, dishonest, and does sub-par work.
Don't have your heart set on anything that they say there. My wedding ring has been down-graded, cut up, and nothing I wanted done was done right. I handed them gold, and received silver. I am devastated and heart sick that someone would take something so special as my wedding ring and treat it so callously.
DO NOT TRUST...
Read moreTook a few heirloom pieces in to have them recreated into one piece. Owner stated he would draw up some design ideas and email them to me, I never heard back. Weeks later I went in and was told he was working on the piece and that it was at home on his work bench. Fast forward a few more weeks, I picked up the finished product. The piece was basically the original with the setting and stone soldered on. The price was double what I was quoted but I was told if I wanted to let him keep the gold the price would be lowered. The gold he was asking to keep was my Mothers original wedding set minus the center stone so I declined. I wasn’t thrilled with the finished product but thought perhaps it would grow on me. Approximately 1 month later the center stone popped out of the setting. Really bad experience, poor communication, did not listen to what was wanted, shoddy work. Would definitely...
