Came to Washington with family to see extended family, and after a day of walking around, we decided to dine here. The food was great, very filling and delicious. Normally, I would recommend, but unfortunately was left with a bad taste in my mouth because of how passive-aggressive our waitress (dark haired/middle aged) became when we placed our orders, and she realized that a couple people would be sharing their plates. Her demeanor became increasingly less friendly after we ordered, and instead she started making little snotty remarks. She went out of her way to make multiple comments about the shared plates, making sure to put emphasis on SHARED, and gave someone in our party a hard time because they ordered just a cup of chowder. When we asked for a burger to be cut in half and she simply said NO.

The ONLY reason I didn’t leave one star is because the only other waitress (blonde/young) who was working seemed to see what was happening and tried to step up the service by bringing the kids in our party some gummies and being extra sweet...

La Conner Waterfront Café has the best fish and chips ever! We love the riverfront cafe! We stopped by most recently on a Sunday at 4:15pm. They closed at 4pm and we were really disappointed to find that they were supposed to close at 4pm.

However, when we walked in they offered to make us fish and chips even though they were closed! We were able to find a great table on the patio overlooking the river. We ordered 2 fish and chips and 2 iced teas and the food as always did not disappoint!

The fish is breaded in a panko crust that gives it the perfect crunch! Not overly greasy! The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. and the tarter sauce is to die for! (I believe its handmade).

As we left our waitress offered to give us a refill ice tea to go! We took her up on it and enjoyed as we strolled and shopped the town!

Highly recommend La Conner Waterfront Café, the food is great and service is...

My family and I visited the La Conner Waterfront Cafe today, and everything was amazing. The food was excellent. The captains plate was so good, and their fry sauce is my new favorite. The kid meals were great too, because they weren't tiny or bland. We had a poor experience with a fellow patron, who was upset because my 3 year old daughter yelled out two times, just as I was getting ready to calm her, he slammed his fist down and began to tell me it was my fault she behaved this way. My daughter cried and as I comforted her the wonderful/sweet waitress came out, and told us that since she doesn't get to see her granddaughters much, it was such a treat to have my children there. It made my daughter and myself feel much better. We will absolutely come back here anytime we're visiting the adorable town of La Conner.
