Not a kid friendly store! Stopped in very briefly to look at the Patagonia jackets for my 3 year old since it was a cold, rainy day. My friend and I had both of our 3 year olds in the store and they began running away from us. We were the only patrons in the store at this time. Before we even had the opportunity to get the girls under control, the shop keeper scolded them very abruptly saying, “No, this is not a playground! Stay with your mom!” I understand keeping kids in line at the store, but I felt it was a bit premature since we had just walked in and began browsing. Wouldn’t even attempt to shop here again. The first time my daughter went in, I purchased a light jacket for my daughter and a raincoat for my granddaughter. Less than a week later, my daughter and I return to exchange her jacket. We did get store credit. Now my daughter did find a beautiful white polka dot and gray jacket. The owner had the audacity to say to my daughter, "Are you sure this is what you want, it does cost more?" The owner really didn't think my daughter and I could afford it. The owner is a great buyer and has curated a very nice selection of outerwear and outdoorsy brands (think Patagonia, Löle, Kuhl) that can be hard to find north of Seattle. She has a line of European raincoats, Ilse Jacobsen, that are fantastic and come in really juicy colors. I love the one I got, and the lightweight Kuhl jacket I bought gets compliments!
