Grossmont Trolley Center — Attraction in La Mesa

Went there two nights ago for dinner. Seated at the sushi bar, my husband and I ordered two spicy scallop hand rolls. Chef made us two spicy scallop rolls. We told him that we ordered hand rolls and he took them back. He then proceeded to pick out the spicy scallops with his fingers to put it into a hand roll. This totally grossed me out! I realize that they don't wear gloves when preparing sushi but please, if you get the order wrong don't poke out the raw fish with your fingers and attempt to place it in a different sushi roll. It is disgusting. I saw what he was doing and I asked him to stop. I said I couldn't eat that! He served it anyway, I don't think he spoke English very well. My husband took it. Then the sushi chef added exactly one scallop to the second roll and handed it to me. We ordered scallop hand rolls and ended with picked out scallops and tons of rice. Needless to say, my husband and I didn't enjoy what is normally our favorite. Our dinner ended after that. We both just lost our appetites. I won't be returning for a while and when I do, I will request a different sushi...

It would be better if there were trolley access near where babies r us used to be!! I have been fighting with MTS for DECADES to open a trolley station closer to Jackson Drive for those of us who work down near or on Marengo Avenue. They claim that there's nearby trolley access down at Grossmont Trolley Station and at La Mesa Blvd. Station. THAT IS NOT NEARBY TROLLEY ACCESS!!! If MTS could construct Fenton Parkway trolley station to serve that area near Mission Valley, then why the heck didn't they construct a trolley station servicing the La Mesa Gateway shopping center on Fletcher Parkway when the center first opened some 25 YEARS AGO when I first started working out...
