We decided to try this place after viewing the menu here online. I wasnt really that hungry to begin with so was glad to find a place that had "1/2 sandwiches." I started my order of "1/2 a vegetarian sandwich" with one lady and then another one appeared and apparently they only have "regular" or "full" sandwiches were thr options she provided me with. So I went with a "regular" sandwich. At checkout, I was shocked to discover that my total was nearly $13 when online the cost should have been $6.99. So I asked, "how much do your full sandwiches cost?!" And she said, "that IS a full sandwich"... with a confused look, I asked, I mean like a regular full sandwich (because I had ordered the 1/2 to begin with) and then she said, Well, we also have a giant sandwich too. This sandwich (pointing to mine) is basically like 2 sandwiches. Me: so its not a regular sandwich?
Ugh. I dont even know. All I feel like is that either their menu needs serious correcting and/or the employees need to be better educated on what they actually offer (especially being that "giant" was not ever offered to me as even being an option). But when I start off my order by saying, "I would like a 1/2 of a vegetarian sandwich" and then you ask me regular or full? Assuming regular must be the smallest but then Im told my $13 sandwich is the equivalent of 2 sandwiches (which btw what I recieved looked like a full regular sandwich to me and what I wanted was 1/2 of what I got and assuming their supposed giant sandwich might be 2 of those) I think someone messed up too because I ordered sliced bread and I got like a hogie roll instead. And on top of that, what kind of vegetarian sandwich doesnt include avocado on it and charges for it? Especially when I told them I didnt want the cucumbers nor banana peppers that come on it? Totally lame, and then the sandwich wasnt even that good. Definitely not worth $13 for what I got. Even if I had actually wanted a full sandwich (which is what I feel they gave me instead of the regular) I think it is way over priced, should include avocado, and some type of seasoning or flavor. Its scary for me to know that I could make a better sandwich my own self than what they had to offer me.
If you dont offer 1/2 sandwiches, take it off your menu as an option. And fix...
Read moreI’ve ordered from Daisy Deli four times using the ClassPass app. The first time, I walked in because I wasn’t yet familiar with how the app worked. The service was excellent, and the sandwich was great—so much so that I returned two more times and ordered ahead by phone. On both of those occasions, the staff was friendly and the experience was smooth.
Unfortunately, my fourth visit today left a very different impression. I accidentally selected a happy hour reservation time about 30 minutes later than when I intended to pick up. When I called to see if I could still place the order and either wait or pay full price, the woman on the phone was rude and refused to take the order. I still went in and waited outside until just three minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Even though the app says you can arrive up to 15 minutes early, I was scolded and told to wait until the exact reservation time.
I explained politely that I was happy to wait or pay the price difference—whatever was easier—but her tone suggested I was trying to work the system to save a couple dollars, which couldn’t be further from the truth. I go out of my way to support small businesses instead of large chains, but the inconsistency in service—and the accusatory tone—ruined the experience for me.
The food is great, but service matters too. Unfortunately, I won’t...
Read moreDaisy Deli has taken over operation at Belly Belly. They are still using quality Boar's Head products, but have made Daisy Deli something of their own. For example, they make their own fresh chicken salad served on bread of your choice or on a salad.
I had the chicken salad on toasted squaw bread. It comes lettuce, tomato, onions, Swiss cheese, and mayo. I opt for mustard, instead of the may. The chicken salad was very good and came with an abundance of white chicken. I liked this it offered a slight kick with the finely chopped banana peppers. The sandwich as a whole was very tasty. The chicken salad sandwich cost $11.95.
The service was very friendly and welcoming. There's a good amount of seating inside and outside. They offering catering and...
