Hancock Family Farms — Attraction in La Plata

Website shows this shop is OPEN right now but I drove to the shop and it’s CLOSED, with a note identifying they’ll be open on Wednesday as normal.

This is my favorite place to buy all of my food, there is nothing but all natural, possibly organic farm fresh food from Hancock Farm!

I suspected they might be closed but knew they keep their website updated with all open dates and times, although that was not the case today.

i have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the hancock family farms storefront and must say they have done an amazing job. a massive selection of super high quality local meats- beef, pork, lamb, chicken. their fresh eggs are legendary in our home. their hot dogs will ruin you because every other hot dog tastes terrible in comparison to theirs. applewood smoked bacon makes killer blts. they even carry cheese from a local dairy. beautiful pumpkins available today when i visited. i highly recommend. thanks,...

My 2nd visit this past week. So far the meats we have had are very tasty and supple! I simmer my boneless pork chops and they come out very tender. The Applewood bacon is to die for literally great! Even if I ever went vegan I'd stay eating bacon lol!! Rare to find but they also had ground turkey a nice touch because it's always hard to find true farm turkey meat. I use turkey meat for my burgers, meatballs, Lasagna & meatloaf. All clean cut meat, the taste is divine. I will keep buying from them. Prices...
