La Puente Live — Attraction in La Puente

Don't need to drive 3 hours to go to Mexico. Just come to La Puente Friday nights for a little taste.

It's more like a night market where the majority of the vendors are for food -- just the way I like it! My favorites are Quesadilla Chile with homemade tortillas ($5), the barbacoa tacos across from that ($2), elote ($3), and the freshly made churros ($5). While the churros are a must, I wish they had smaller portions for less. It's just way too much for 2 people.

I could count on one hand the total number of non-Latinos at the event (us 2 included). With that said, most vendors can speak English as well, so don't worry about ordering. Of course, they were also nice when I was trying out my high school Spanish!

The event starts around 6pm. There's also live music starting around 7pm. Bring your own chairs to enjoy the music. Plenty of free street and lot parking within a short 1-3...

La Puente live is a really cool event. It takes place every Friday and each event offers up different music. And if course space for dancing. It's a really nice event to take the family. It feels very small town. I like that. There's a nice variety of vendors.... from tupperware to make-up to clothing to home goods. Every Friday brings something new. And train ride for the little one. I love the fact you can just sit and indulge in people watching. This is a bring your own chair event. Its a nice expensive! Definetly for the family and frinds. Everyone its friendly and you will have a good time. Theres a lot of traditilnal food such as en hiladas, pozole, menudo, huaraches, tlacoyos, pambazos, carrnitas, puerco ahumado, barbacoa tacos, handmade and freshmade quesadillas(the real ones) tacos of many kinds, desserts! Atole, tostilocos, yogurt, icecream, churros, candy, gummies.....etc. this was the 3rd time i come and i notice a big increase in prices( pretty sad about it) in less than 1 moth prices on must stuff went up about $2.00.
