I went here today with my wife and kids in the hopes of taking advantage of their Military Appreciation Wednesday. This seemed like a pretty good deal - a free game for each game you buy. (Though they weirdly limit it to 5 free games per military ID; not sure who did the math to determine that was necessary.)
All seemed well at first. I asked the man at the front desk for a 3 game package for each of my boys, but the total price he ended up charging me seemed off. After some back and forth with him about how the Wednesday special worked, it dawned on us that he rang me up for 3 games each for 3 people (my kids and my wife).
Seems like a pretty simple misunderstanding, right? One of those things where the guy behind the counter should say something like, "Oh! My mistake, I must have misheard you. Let me fix this real fast." We'd buy our games...the kids would have fun...the business would make money - makes sense, huh?
Nope, not this guy. Instead, once I pointed out that he had mistakenly charged me for three people when I asked for two, he says, "No, you told me three." We had a little back and forth where I insisted to him that I asked for three games each for just my two kids. I reminded him that I specifically said only my kids would be playing.
But he felt that good customer service means insisting to the customer, repeatedly, that they told you something different. Instead of maybe just owning up to a simple mistake.
So I immediately asked for a refund and told him we'd take our business elsewhere. At which point this guy - in what must have been a moment full of bravado for him - felt the need to inform me that he is a manager and knows how their system works.
The problem wasn't the pricing system - we figured out that was working just fine. The problem wasn't even this guy's ears - mishearing a customer happens and really isn't a big deal.
The problem was the subsequent rude customer service when he learned he'd made a mistake. But hey, good on him for being the manager?
Your mileage may vary, but I'd suggest taking your business somewhere that provides at least the minimum level of politeness when they interact with customers. You're unlikely to find that here. At least not if the...
Read moreVery small lazer tag zone provides very little room for an adult to move through. Small children do decent but minimal cover areas and very boring layout. Half the guns have lazers makong it super easy to target while the other half have no lazer making it extremely hard to know where you are shooting. Each gun has an assigned name and you have to play hangman to figure out your name as half the display does not work. The staff is not only rude but obviously do not care about the jobs they do and there is no excitement. The entry procedure is unorganized and haphazard. For $15 per per person the quality is abysmal. The only upside is in their arcade the have a very select few classic games like rush 2049. Then again you are better off going to an actual arcade where they serve food. Overall a terrible experience. Drive a big farther north and go to lazer quest.
Edit to address the response: The condescending tone of your reply only further shows the legitimacy of my original review. I placed 3rd overall and 1st on my team. My score had nothing to do with the sour taste of my experience. The layout is hardly difficult. The federal way lazer tag has a difficult layout as with the one in spokane. The layout here consists of two heightened structures (approx 7 feet) with a ramp in front and back. If this is considered difficult to you then i realize i should not be using big words. Your guns are bad, your score machine is faulty (that one means it doesnt work, i know big words confuse you), and your layout is boring not to mention tiny. Ive been tagging countless times and never have i experienced such ineptitude (that one means stupidity!) as with your facility. If this review doesnt spur you to create a better tagging enviroment at least you might learn a few new words. If you have trouble reading this im sure one of your staff might be able...
Read moreI went to take my little brother to one of his friends birthdays. The birthday boys family paid for two laser tag matches. Both times the matches were referred by the same employee who's name I believe is Oren. For the first match Oren spoke at break neck speed so a lot of the kids did not know how the game worked, this isn't great but can be overlooked, however the next match is what made me give them a 1 star rating. Unlike the first match where the group got a say over the teams on the next match Oren completely hijacked the game. Everyone in the group wanted the birthday boy to decide teams but Oren interjected out of nowhere deciding he would decide the teams this time, IT GETS WORSE. He created three teams, team green with all the players who did the best last match, and team blue and red which was made up of the remaining kids, IT GETS WORSE. As referee Oren has to wear a special vest that grants him control over the game, this is standard... however putting a green player vest (the team he put the best people in) on top of that one so he could play is not, IT GETS WORSE. In a surprising turn the green team wasn't actually winning so what did Oren do? He used his referee gun to turn other teams players green mid game to try to get to first place, IT GETS WORSE. After that mess was done I talked to my brother about the experience and he told me that Oren has been pulling this kind of nonsense every time he has attended a B day party there. This employees behavior is unacceptable and the fact it's an ongoing issue makes the whole...
