I do traffic control all over western Washington so my schedule can be very hectic and time management sometimes nearly impossible.. I noticed that the Planet Fitness in N. Seattle off of Aurora, which is a main thoroughfare, although having a huge logo on the main window saying that they're open all the time, has reduced its hours of operation and accessibility. I very much appreciate that the Lacey branch remains 24/7 and am very thankful and grateful for that.I do keep to the one, solid thing that I can depend on which keeps me grounded in such times; I always take off work from sundown Friday thru sundown Saturday in observance of The Sabbath and very much look forward to returning to my home city of Lacey to spend that time with God and my forever family. Living out of an RV can become very cramped quarters and one thing I really do enjoy every week is dodging the feeling of being a "bull in a china shop" with the devil nipping at my heels and biting my behind mes in order to send me off to church disheveled, late and enraged at his ridiculous, pathetic antics - just by grabbing up my church dress attire and hygiene kit and a towel, all laid out for me and at ready from The Sabbath before, and head straight to Planet Fitness EARLY enough to avoid any pitfalls that the devil may have also laid out before me ( because bad planning on my part does not constitute an emergency on anybody else's parts, lol ) where there is a "no hate," friendly atmosphere with plenty of breathing space and elbow room which enables me to refresh and regroup my mind, body & spirit - and arrive at church early, presentable, grateful and full of praises for our Maker and King of Kings! And I thank my dear church friend and PF member for introducing me, skeptically, to Planet Fitness after being severely misled, mistreated, and robbed by the same YMCA that I had been actively involved with throughout my childhood years.Thank You. I hope there's a Planet Fitness in the capitol city of Montana so that I can gift my children with...
Read moreThis place is a joke. I went inside last night to inform them of how much of a joke they are but the kid at the desk was visibly uncomfortable when I went in to confront them, I was afraid I might make them cry. So instead I will come here where it will probably do more good. I dropped my son off last night to workout as he has been with his friend all summer since they have the free summers for high schoolers. I was halfway home when my son called saying they kicked him out due to overdue fees. The overdue fees? ARE FROM 2023!!! It is 2025 and summer is almost over. He has been going all summer. The kid at the desk tried to explain that their systems were down when he signed up for the summer and that's how the connection wasn't made...Soooo...their systems were also down in 2024 when he was going all last summer too? Oh and the overdue fees? They're supposedly because the account wasn't cancelled and it went to collections... First of all, if it went to collections, why am I still supposed to be paying you, and why haven't I heard from collections in all this time!? Honestly I'm not surprised, because when we cancelled, and we DID cancel his membership in 2023, it was a whole unforgettable ordeal then because they kept not taking our payment and then telling him he needed to pay when it was supposed to be automatic. This happened so many times we finally had enough and cancelled and he's just been doing free summers unhindered since then yet somehow, two summers later he has overdue fees and has to leave!? Don't bother responding, I'm not going to contact anyone about this as I am quite done with you people. I'm just making sure everyone else knows you are a problem. If my son wants to go to the gym I can add him to my membership for $30 at Whetstone Fitness. It's a smaller gym in Olympia, black owned, small business. There are way better gyms in the area where you can support your community. Pressing on Fitness, Alliance Athletics, all...
Read moreJust went to sign up at my local Planet Fitness in Lacey, WA - The girl at the desk, who was very nice, asked if I had brought a bank statement with me. I said "No ma'am - I just want to use the gym for a month or two, not a mortgage." She stated they required complete bank information, account number and routing number to sign up, and they would ACH my banking account each month. I asked to pay in cash and was told that they could not accept cash or debit cards...What?
As a retired Army Green Beret, husband, and father of three - I am highly disappointed that Planet Fitness as a corporation has chosen to make it so difficult for service members and the hard working people of America to sign up for a membership to their gym. Is Planet Fitness truly going out of their way to do what is best for their customers, or are they doing what is best for their corporate P&L? Additionally, if the U.S. Government cannot keep our citizens and service member's security clearances and personal/financial information safeguarded against hackers, what makes anyone believe that Planet Fitness can do it any better?
I like the whole "no judgement" concept, but PF you are judging people before they even walk through your doors!
CEO Planet Fitness - Have you read the E-Myth? 7-Habits? Do you know who your customers really are? Do you even care? Did the founder of PF say, yeah let's open this great gym, it will be no pressure, non-judgemental, all the equipment will be purple, but we are only going to let in people who are willing to give us their banking info join...? Man I hope not...
Want memberships and profits to go up? Make PF the EASIEST and most user friendly gym on the...
